I posted a thread and it seems like no one here lives in Wales so I've decided to visit my friends in Spain for the games. Is anyone else going to be in Spain for the World Cup? I have friends in several cities so my itinerary is flexible.

Mamad jaan, I'm dying to watch the matches with some hamvatans in either Valencia or Alicante or better yet, half way in between in beautiful Denia.

If you're passing through, let me know and would love to catch a game with you.

I know at least one place that’s showing it on the big screen with lots of people gathered. Maybe we can work something out eh?

Yeah, it's between the 19th and 24th also on the 18th in Valencia is Corpus Christi and on the 23rd Noche de San Juan... there's really no shortage of festivals in the Valencian Community!

I'll definitely do the hour drive to watch the game(s) in Alicante if you decide to come.

I gotta say, the bar listed as the viewing for NYC looks like the absolute worst place to catch a game -- a nice wine bar that doesn't appear to have a TV inside! (judging by its yelp pictures).

The problem with most of these events for me is that they are showing the English commentary. Hoesntly, Iranians commentary of TM game is 50% of the experience for me. I want to hear Khiabani weep like a child when we beat Portugal. Which is why I'll be watching at home with the family.

Agree. And to add, a huge crowd ruins the game for me. People are standing in front of you, shouting, and you are not guaranteed a good view. I prefer to watch TM games alone. at home. to focus.
