It was set to be summer, with Qatar making air condition stadia (with the actual pitch area air conditioned), then FIFA decided to change it to winter anyway. There were complaints, given the calendar issues and that the hosts were voted for a summer tournament, but what is anyone gonna do? FIFA answers to no one; they are their own law.

We have great Moroccan members here!
They didn’t join PFDC to do trash talks before their game with us, like so many other fans did over the years, but instead they were very respectful members!
Obviously when some people here say bad (and wrong) things about their country, they get rightfully defensive!

I don’t want us losing those members or give them a wrong impression of us!

Stop with this 3rd world country thing. It is outdated. You rank countries per income level, there are 4 levels.

Usa and Canada are at level 4, Mexico and Morroco level 3.
There are 1 billion ppl at level 4 in the world,
While 2 billion level 3 and 3b at 2..
Luckily more and more countries get out of extreme poverty.

Meh, didnt care for either..!! but between the two of them, I prefer the United bid, if for nothing but for the fact that I'm centrally located for it..!! besides Morocco stood very little if any chance of being considered, once US put a bid in..!! FIFA wouldn't have dared choosing any other bidding country this time around and risk having their corrupt organization restructured once again by the Americans and half their officials sent to court /jail..!!
personally woulda preferred it left at 32teams and hosted in one of the more advanced Western European countries, perhaps one that hasn't hosted before..!?

Mexico has some very nice and large stadiums, perfect for the WC, kinda bullshit that they only got 10 games, they are a real footballing nation, not the US.

no it wont matter, but the BBC article says its not fix yet as to whether the hosts get automatic seeds.

The expanded field will see CONCACAF get allocated six guaranteed slots with the possibility of more via a playoff. As for the question of whether three spots will be set aside for the hosts, that won't be decided until next year's FIFA Congress in Paris. But FIFA certainly seems to be leaning towards granting automatic spots to all three countries.
