This one is going to cover territory 5 to 7 times that covered in Brazil and Russia!!! you're gonna watch a game in Montreal and then take a 5.5 hour flight to Mexico City or LA to watch the next match?!

You could have had all of Europe, ME, South East Asia or North West Africa host the WC and it would have been less travel time and much more inclusive and like a "World" Cup. Absolutely retarded!

It's gonna be interesting the first time around.

The 3 team groups are tricky since the team that gets a bye
in the first round has a huge advantage.

If you win the first match you just go for a draw in the 2nd one.

If you lose the first match you gotta go for a win in the 2nd one.

Many coin flipping potentials to determine the top 2 teams in groups since
all games may end up in draws for many groups.

For Iran, a danger that Israel might actually qualify and end up in their group!

After the first 2 matches all surviving 32 teams play in a single elimination format.
This gives smaller teams a huge chance to knock off big teams by playing defense
and hoping to win in a penalty shoot out.

Overall , it's worth a try.

I also think bumping the tournament to 48 teams is fantastic!! Let's face it, we have teams such as Italy, Holland, US, Ghana and Chile that did not make the WC! This would make it much more interesting and give fans different flavors of other nations! Imagine out of Asia teams like Iran, S.Korea, Japan, Australia, Saudi, UAE, China, Jordan.

It's one thing to say that the United bid has better infrastructure and more financial power but to claim that Morocco is less safe than the US and that it's a 3rd world country makes you look like a fool because this is simply inaccurate.

Morocco has better stadiums than Iran. Fine. Still, none of these stadiums are up to the standards of the requirements that there are for a Stadium to be eligible for a WC game. It's not about being bad or good or better than Iran. And let's forget the fact that none of your stadiums come nearly close to was Azadi stadium is (just kidding).

And to think that Morocco is not a third world country and that it's intelligence and safety forces are anywhere near that of US, Canada or Mexico is just "looking like a fool" as you put it.

What you don't realize is that Morocco can be the safest place on earth, as soon as WC starts it becomes a target for any terrorist group and anti establishment party. The increase to 48 was just a way for the current FIFA guy to win the election.

The problem isn't that there isn't enough teams, it's that it's lopsided continentally. Some UEFA spots should be going to all the other continents except South America.

32 teams is fine, for a perfect tournament the spots need to be evened out. In an ideal world I'd have:

4.5 to South America
5.5 to Asia
1.5 to Oceania
6.5 to Africa
4.5 to North America
9.5 to Europe

1 more team (the '.5') from each continent separated into two groups of 3, seeding the South Americans and Europeans, for 3 more spots.

This could perhaps act as a World Cup pre-show like the cancelled Confederations Cup. That way you could have a 'final' between the runner-ups in both groups to decide the final spot and it would mean something.

No good public transportation, and on top of that no drinking alcohol in the streets. Morocco wasn't the best place to hold it but I'd take them over a NA World Cup anyday.
