Man the amount of arrogance from Spain/Portugal fans on some other boards is really unbelievable. I understand that they are only a small sample size and don't represent the whole fanbase, but its still quite the stuff to read.

This whole meme culture we are in has really made any sort of attempt at a discussion just a huge waste of time and effort - and we are also guilty of it I should add (the smart fans probably just stay offline, only us fools read that stuff and give ourselves a headache).

It's fascinating how someone's bias can change their argument so much - all the Portuguese who were making fun of TM time wasting against Morocco, saying its a disgrace... then Pepe makes a complete fool of himself (worse than anything Ramin did vs Morocco by 100x) and nobody says anything. At least Ramin fell down from a tackle, and not from someone gently placing their hand on his back.

Same goes for Spain, they were diving and wasting time all over the pitch vs Portugal.

I defy anyone to show where TM wasted more than 5 minutes over the first 2 games from diving/faking injury. If you can't compile more than 5 minutes over two games, you should be quiet and leave judgement for your own team.

I guess it just hurts teams to know they have billions of dollars invested in their team and are still challenged by a team with no money, no infrastructure, no grassroots, political sanctions, and so forth.

Man I really hope we take it to Portugal on Monday - I don't care which one of Spain or Portugal miss out, it will be a nice wake up call for them.

Football has evolved.
Every team in the world cup is a threat (apart from Saudi Arabia of course ;P) and there is a reason why they are amongst the 32 nations in it.
We have seen countless times all ready, that if the top teams don't play to their best potential, the smaller nations can hurt them.

By the way, don't know how credible this is, but I read that Karim Ansarifard said "we will qualify over Portugal."

We need to remember that we are big underdogs in this match. If this statement is true, Karim, and the rest of TM , should refrain from public statements that promise victory over Portugal. Confidence is fine, but not publicly. The last thing we need is to give Portugal and CR more motivation and bulletin board material.
