They also commented on TM's resolute ability to breakdown Morroco's pace of attack, despite the lower ball possession, which favored Iran's style of play.
Was he really paying attention then?

Expect the expected changes vs Spain!

ALSO great praise to EBRAHIMI the man fought like a lion!
I actually think he left Milmo out to surprise Spain. This team is making it to the round of 16! I think they might just be able to get to top 8 as well. MARK MY WORDS!

Tactical master-class by CQ. Brilliant execution by TM.

        Specifics:

        - I love Masud, but he was too slow, too careless. He was there to control the flow, but I do not think he succeeded.

        - Ansarifard was disappointing. I prefer Taremi or Ghoddos in his place. Ghoddos proved he is a beast even in the few minutes he was on.

        - Azmun's touch betrayed him on a couple of occasions when it would have counted.

        - Cheshmi, once again, proved CQ knows what he is doing. Omid was a beast.

        - I still do not like HajSeifi on the left back.

        - Jahanbakhsh was lacking the venom he showed for his club. But helped out a lot on defense.

        - Beiravand came up with the ONE BIG SAVE when it mattered.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Whoever it was that scored that beautiful, world class diving header.

I will give my thoughts about the game after I watch Spain-Portugal game.
First off - We didn't play good Football, but we got the win. More about that later.

                    A. Beiranvand - 10 : Mans made not a single mistake. Big part of our win.

                    M. Pouraliganji - 8: Solid as a rock. had one or two bad headers on defense, but great otherwise.

                    R. Rezaeian - 7: Did a lot better defensively than I expect him to. In the first half he messed up chance for JB when JB was setting up to shoot and Ramin ran into him. His long passes weren't really on traget that much.

                    R. Cheshmi - 7: Had a blunder or two and was lucky not to get a yellow card, but overall Sooti nadad.

                    M. Shojaei - 2: It's time to retire my man. He was already slow when he was young, but god damn now he just kills the entire flow of the game and just flops which often leads to turnovers rather than freekicks. I don't see how a person that gets stupid yellow card all the time can be a Captain.

                    E. Hajsafi - 8: Although played at a questionable position he did well. Reliable.

                    O. Ebrahimi - 7: Solid wall. Didn't sooti much, had good tackles.

                    V. Amiri - 7: Loved his hustle defensively. Was not just running around like headless chick.

                    K. Ansarifard - 5: Played at a questionable position. Seemed invisible. Messed up a chance early in the game. Defensively he was alright, but It won't stand up to team like Spain.

                    S. Azmoun - 4: Sardar wtf you doing my man?

                    A. Jahanbakhsh - 5: As usual didn't get much service, but he really didn't do much to help his cause. Made some decent passes, but didn't see him explode like he does for AZ. Hopefully we see him next game.

                    M. Taremi - 6: We pretty much didn't have any turnovers after he came on. I still don't like seeing him on the wings, but better than whatever we had going on with Masoud. He was near the net on the own-goal, I guess that's worth something??

                    M. Hosseini - 7: Niiice...

                    S. Ghoddos - 7: Was involved in the 10 minutes he played. Bad aerial challenge that could have hurt the Moroccan player. Very smart to draw the foul that led to the own goal. Would have been a 6 if that own goal wasn't scored.

Carlos - 6: Players looked lost for most the first half, but got alot better defensively in the 2nd. A lot of "bezan ziresh". Tactics were decent, formation was good, but the Line-up was wack. At the end of the day we got the win, which is great (Look at how many grimy wins Argentina got last world cup), but we have to be honest. that game could have easily gone the other way.

Lol, Twitter is full of people making fun of Ramin's overreaction to a foul:

I was watching the game with arround 50 people half of them non-iranian and we all agree
that masoud is pure crap. He has a fantastic character but he shouldn be our captain
                                and play again.
My thoughts on the game. We were till now the weakest team in terms of passing game.
BUT we are the greatest team sofar in terms of fighting spirit, physical game!
The tactics against Spain and Portugal are clear: try to destriy their game,
play physical and rough and try to score on corners, freekicks
or counter attacks. We cant play in another way since we have a badly
gap to the world class teams in terms of one touch passing game.

Omid was the man of the match. True warrior unbelievable tacklings!
