    My thoughts about the game:

    - Typical Iran performance in CQ style, however, we were not in it to win if you look at the second half performance - Whereas the Moroccans really wanted to win but didn't have the strategy/execution/collectivity necessary to do so.
    - We should have risked it more at the end, a 0-0 would have seen us realistically with no chances of advancing.
    - This is the critique that i have had with CQ and with all the positives there is still some negatives. Have we improved from 4 years ago? If yes by how much?
    - For neutrals i would tell them, if you want to watch good football, don't watch Iran - And definitely not in the international stage.
I was ecstatic about the win though, excellent 3 points but poor guy scored an own goal.

After watching the Portugal-Spain game there is only 2 ways we can advance even with the 3 points today.

    - Win against either Portugal or Spain (not likely)
    - Or draw 1 or both games and hope that Morocco dont get too affected by this loss and get a result in one of their 2 remaining games.

First of all, I'll never doubt CQ again.
I've usually supported him but when I saw Mimo out, I got very worried.
Omid Ebrahimi - I owe you a big apology, you were amazing. A lion, cheetah, rock and eagle on the field. Damesh garm. MoM
Shojaei and Ansarifard need to be benched.
First 20 minutes we were nervous but the rest of the game Morocco played into our style.
Also physically TM was phenomenal. This is why conditioning and hard training is better than 100 frienldies versus Italy and Holland and Kooft and Zahre mar.
Hajisafi while controlling the ball was great, defensively he was still very late.
Azmoun - was out of it.
JB was in the right position but was clearly really nervous.
Cheshmi was not tested, thank goodness.
      Taremi, Ghoddoos - pressured beautifully.
      Pouraliganji was also wonderful.
THank you TM, thank you CQ.
This is a great gift to our country and thank you for uniting us all, wherever we are and whatever we think of politically or religiously.
      Enjoy it everyone.
      Now let's take Spain down.
      Also F*** you Nike.
how was pouraliganji amazing but cheshmi not tested? cheshmi was more involved in the game that pouraliganji and was a beast and the second man of the match after Ebrahimi

you don't want to wish this on any player and I would have loved to see Taremi score instead. Poor Eskandarian after 40 years, is still remembered for his own-goal error.

The football show analyzing the Morocco vs Iran game are making fun of Rezaeian as the worst player/worst RB they've seen. I don't really share the opinion (even though he had a couple of slip is here and there). I'm guessing it's more because of his pink shoes than his qualities.

You want to wear pink shoes and act like Ronaldo then you need to play like Ronaldo too cause people start to pick on you otherwise

Omid was a beast except for the 1st 15 min. I really liked Ehsan's performance. And like him or not I see why amiri is starting over other players, the guy can actually defend. He must be the fittest player in the squad, he didn't stop running, pressing and was also involved in offensive possessions.

why is Shojaei playing most of the game?
why is Shojaei invited when we have several talented players for that same position?

If anyone could answer all those question and make me realize his a important player I'll take everything back that I said about him.
Because we have such a political country that if he wasn't invited people would say its political.

Rouzbeh Cheshmi had the highest pass completion rate (85%) out of all Iranian players. Omid Ebrahimi had the most passes completed (18).

They're idiots. His rolling was embarrassing, but his play was much better than usual.

Cheshmi what a player. He played his heart out and really showed why Carlos put his trust in him. I like his defending and attacking capability.

I am very happy, I waited 20 years 95 minutes for a new win in World Cup. Thank you TM!
I am afraid of Spanish and Portuguese next.

Cheshmi was protected by Ebrahimi's amazing performance.

To be honest, in the day and age, his rolling was not that bad (unfortunately). Like I said I think you provoke these kind of statements when you act weird (wearing candy pink shoes)

The starting line up really scared me - cheshmi, amiri, hajisafi as LB, ebrahimi as sole DM - the first 20 min scared me yet more and I got angry, but then I realized that despite poor individual showings of some players, the whole team managed to keep composure and stand its ground. Then we created chances, then in the second half we had them under control completely, which was when I realized what CQ was doing. Then I felt really bad about myself for criticizing CQ and some players. Heck I was even impressed by Amiri.

My greatest admiration for Mr Queiroz!

I think we won the match because of our team spirit. I have been waiting all my life for TM to win an important match in that manner, in the style of a top team. I especially loved how we had problems in the beginning, but then everyone started speaking with each other, stick together more and figuring it out.

Man of the match was definitely Ebrahimi to me, what a biest!
Beiranvand and pouraliganji stood out as well. Individually I wasn't impressed by the rest (hosseini was solid instantly), but that's not important. The fighting was world class.
