Beiranvand, Cheshmi, and Rezaein had superb performances. THat's the clear good in my opinion.

Nothing too bad but room for improvement...I am a bit disappointed in Azmoun and Ansarifard because those kind of opportunities should be finished better. I believe transitioning from back to front has to happen with more speed in the midfield. Shojaie, sorry mate, time to retire for international duties. He passed poorly, was easily frustrated, and I believe if he wasn't subbed was going to turn his yellow into a red because he seemed gassed. I believe this team with Ghoddos/Dejagah and one of Taremi/Gucci starting over Shojaie, Ebrahimi (although he wasnt bad) or Azmoun/Ansarifard will make a world of difference with regards to possession and pace .

I believe we will see changes in line up. I think CQ risked this line up vs Morocco not to open his hands vs Spain and Portugal.

Funny thing about this game was the our best players on the pitch today were from our own league

My analysis:

We maintained our structure the whole game and it really frustrates Morocco.

We were only poor because of anxiety in the first 20 minutes.

Shojaei and ansarifard killed any forward runs that we had. Especially shojaei, he was AWFUL

Ebrahimi and beiranvand both deserve the apologies of all of their haters.

Beiranvand saved our ass

And ebrahimi was a fucking warrior, nobody put so much effort on the pitch as him, he went in for all his tackles 150%.


Jahanbakhsh and azmoun were disappointing for me.

Our entire defense except Hajsafi was great

Cheshmi was actually solid.

Ghoddos was a great sub.

Hope to see more of Ghoddos and no shojaei next game.

We need to play better in the midfield.

Congrats to everyone and I think we deserved this win, even if there was a bit of luck on our side.

Btw I don't think Jahanbakhsh is really injured as he was talking to the Dutch TV after the game and he was very happy and didn't mention being injured. Most likely it was just a cramp
