Scores from Fotmob: Cheshmi and Ansarifard got the lowest score amongst the Iranian team on Fotmob, 6.5 and 6.3.

Shojaei got 6.9, Azmoun and Rezaeian both scored 6.8 while Pouraliganji scored 6.6.

Our highest scorers was Jahanbaksh and Beiravand both scoring 7.3 with JB named man of the match. Other high scorers where Amiri and Ebrahimi both received a 7.0 and Hajsafi 7.2.

Morocco had an average score of 5.5

Hope he gets more time next matches. If we are to move on from this group we need a win against spain or portugal. Ghoddos needs to bring some magic and Jahanbakhsh and Sardar need to wake up.

Also as much as I love Shojaei, that performance was woeful and almost any player from the bench could have done better than that.

I think one of the reasons or defense did well today and their weakness wasn't exposed (beside the collective effort and midfield/attack coming back to defend and some luck here and there) is because Morocco kind of plays like Iranians.
Their good/attacking players are all players that come or wait to get the ball and then they start walking with the ball first trying to see what they can do themselves before looking who they can pass to. This takes the speed of the ball and surprises away and gives that fraction of time that normal players need to position themselves and defend.
Our defense has more problems with teams that pass the ball with first or second contact and then walk without the ball to create gaps

The problem with Morocco, and I been telling my friends this for a while, is that they are not a TEAM. They are a collection of good players with not much chemistry or experience together. If you look at the amount of caps that each player has, they've barely played for their country. They are less than the sum of their parts while we are the opposite.

I loved watching him stamp the Moroccan defenders I still think his tiring them out led to the goal

My thoughts about the game:

- Typical Iran performance in CQ style, however, we were not in it to win if you look at the second half performance - Whereas the Moroccans really wanted to win but didn't have the strategy/execution/collectivity necessary to do so.
- We should have risked it more at the end, a 0-0 would have seen us realistically with no chances of advancing.
- This is the critique that i have had with CQ and with all the positives there is still some negatives. Have we improved from 4 years ago? If yes by how much?
- For neutrals i would tell them, if you want to watch good football, don't watch Iran - And definitely not in the international stage.
I was ecstatic about the win though, excellent 3 points but poor guy scored an own goal.

After watching the Portugal-Spain game there is only 2 ways we can advance even with the 3 points today.
- Win against either Portugal or Spain (not likely)
- Or draw 1 or both games and hope that Morocco dont get too affected by this loss and get a result in one of their 2 remaining games.

Yet we did win, can it be that we were in it to win it and you just don't get the strategy used by CQ and company?

Ramin proved he is our best RD. Cheshmi had some hand touch and was lucky not get a card. Against Reonaldo he will give at least one penalty. I hope we go back to the way
we played against Russia. I didn't feel good about this 3-4-3 system CQ used and we were lucky to win. I want to see more of Saman.

Now who would have gone against the huge storm to suddenly exclude players like Seyd Jalal and Ghafouri if not CQ?!

What ever happens in the WC now, we know that at the very least we have two new young defenders in Cheshmi and Majid Hosseini, with WC experience, to be used in future games, not the least in the AC!!!

CQ got us the reward by excluding Seyd Jalal and Ghafouri!!!
