When was the last time a TM victory made you so ecstatic? Mine was when we beat Australia.

For me the draw vs Argentina (although bitter feeling at the end). Even though we lost, every Argentinian action which didn't end up in a goal (so until min 91) felt like a goal for us haha

Great result but not our best performance. Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh, and Ansarifard need to step it up. I am not sure if we should be starting Azmoun. We won't get too many chances against the likes of Spain and Portugal.

Amazing game.
I basically left an ICU full of 20 sick patients with a nurse practitioner who works for me and said don't call me unless someone is actually dying, so I can watch the game somewhere that people won't hear me screaming.
Which I did. I screamed. A lot. So much that mostly lost my voice.
When the goal finally happened I ran out of my house screaming, mostly in Farsi, and scared the crap out of a group electric company dudes working on a power line a few houses down. They looked truly terrified. I think they assumed ISIS was upon them.
Now looking forward to Wednesday.

On a side note, the Moroccan Nordin Amrabat was out cold after running into (?) Hajsafi. Soon as he hit the ground he started posturing with his arms fixed in an outward stretch. He was absolutely unconscious at that point. Then the bizarre scenario where the Moroccan physiotherapist drags him up to his feet and starts slapping him on the face repeatedly, I guess to perk him up. Unbelievable.

IF the defender didn't touch that ball ... ANSARIFARD would have met it around knee high about 2 meters away from the goal line.
Simply brilliant free kick from HAJSAFI.
Watch the movement of the Iranian attackers on the kick too. CHESHMI went BACK to wards the center circle. TAREMI moved left and was in unmarked. The movement confused the defender who was marking ANSARIFARD so much that he didn't even bother do anything to hinder Karim getting into position to score, which ended up not even being necessary.

NOTHING ABOUT THIS WIN WAS LUCKY.

The football show analyzing the Morocco vs Iran game are making fun of Rezaeian as the worst player/worst RB they've seen. I don't really share the opinion (even though he had a couple of slip is here and there). I'm guessing it's more because of his pink shoes than his qualities.

You want to wear pink shoes and act like Ronaldo then you need to play like Ronaldo too cause people start to pick on you otherwise

Morocco probably has the best aerial defense in the group. Azmoun is going to shine against Spain and Portugal.

we don't have players in top leagues like morocco. we can't get quality friendlies. we don't even have fields in iran to have a legit camp. we're the only country that had to buy our jerseys. the only country that nike refused to provide cleats. our goalie used to be homeless. the whole world is against us, yet we pulled off a miraculous win. i don't care if its an own goal, i don't care that we don't play joga bonita or that we are boring. this victory is more than just soccer and we die hard TM fans know this, thats why we all went ape shit when we scored. i am still in disbelief. alexi lalas can go fuck himself. we don't have a "mo" salah or a ronaldo, but who gives a shit, TM together with the training staff and supportive fans is all we need. I'm so proud of our TM i can't explain it. guys like cheshmi, ramin, omid, amiri, beiranvand, hell even shojaei lol rose to the occasion when we needed them to and fought for our country. this is a victory for the Iranian people. first in 20 fucking years. we all deserve this victory. I've never been this ecstatic over a victory or goal in my life. its just amazing and i know everyone here understands what I'm talking about. CQ is one ballsy crazy mofo. god bless this man, if ali karimi, ghalanoei or some other shit head coached our TM ohhhh boy what a disaster it would be. happy that we can build on this now. hopefully we can surprise spain and steal some points. go TM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our best players today were IPL players.
Biro, Omid, Cheshmi and Amiri.
Only PAG did as good as them from the overseas players.

Give IPL teams and their coaching staff some credit.
