I was very impressed with the commitment shown by all, they played with pride and gave their all. The players were obviously told to sit back and hit on the counter and they all played a great defensive job.
Ansarifard and Azmoun bullied their defenders with their physicality, you could see when they went for the headers they were worried. Shame that Azmoun didn't have the confidence to put that chance away, last season he buries that.
You can see that Shojaei has lost his game, I'm thinking we may see Ezzatollahi replace him next match.
Overall tonight I am a proud man of my nation, I'm jealous that my dad got to watch the game in Tehran, bet they went mental.

Iran's starting line up vs Spain will have at least 5 changes from the starting line
      up today.

This is how CQ keeps the opponents in suspense. Spain will not be able to analyze our
team based on the line up today.

For one I think Ezzi will start. He's no longer suspended. However Omid played pretty well today also. Maybe a healthy Dejagah would be good as well!

As an Iranian I couldn't stomach the ugliness of the match today; can't imagine what neutral observers around the world thought.
            Your opinion means nothing

As an Iranian I was thrilled that Iran won. Your opinion kinda smells like the average booty hole.

1-0 win. Plain and simple. This analysis is atrocious. Basically he was complaining that Iran won because Iran played to its strength. The moron said Iran did not deserve this win, and you are complementing him on his analysis. Wow ...... Even Lalas, who is a notorious Iran hater gave us a thumbs up.

All those who couldn't "stomach" Iran's win are really not true TM fans. They're just casual fans. These are "fans" that don't follow the Iran's qualifiers, all of a sudden realize we're in the WC, post a few Facebook messages, take a few selfies, and then have trouble swallowing a win.

you can be as happy and thankful to your god about the win as you like, and still think that this was a terrible game in terms of what a football game is supposed to look like. having said that, the same guy in the video who said Iran didn't deserve a win (which I disagree with), also said people won't remember the game. meaning that people will forget the quality of the game over time and only remember the result. and he is right.

It was an excellent tactical win from Quieroz ... Morocco is a very technical team with speed and the only way to neutralize them was to put 2 defensive lines, play on our physical power and slow the pace of the game by giving them anesthesia as this would make them nervous. The turning point of the game was when the first counter attack was launched by Iran after the first storm of the first 25min. This is when Morroco realized they could eventually "lose".

Putting this tactical mastermind win from Quieroz apart, there was also few very negative points as well. Pass accuracy from iranian players was below everything, shojaei was like "drunk" and slow as usual, taking often wrong decisions while one pass would have created a dangerous opportunity. Azmoun is lazy, this guy is just not running enough ... Azmoun really believes only talent is enough and that he shouldn't run, where is this mentality coming from?

Let's be clear, Spain is Morroco in much more precise, technical and accurate. They also have what Morroco missed today : real world class strikers able to destabilize a defense alone. I totally trust Quieroz but our boys should wake up, Spain and Portugal will be something very different ... Players should play focus 110% and be way more precise in their passes ... With 2 tight defensive lines, playing extremely physical, relying on counter attacks and headers, something is possible against Spain although chances are extremely slim and close to impossible. This Spanish team is just amazing. If something could happen, it is more likely that it will be against Portugal, hoping Ronaldo isn't in his best shape because if he is, he can change the outcome of a game alone like he did today against Spain.

                          that's exactly what I said.

let me ask you something. you yourself just called a team that won the last European championship "a joke" of a team, what would you call Iran's team if you weren't an Iranian?

Who cares. All that matters is we got the 3 points.

why do you think we don't play attacking football? lol morocco is clearly better than us.

given the circumstances TM faces, we are shit, but the whole world doesn't want to believe how much the sanctions affect us. but you know what? we get results and thats all that matters. we're in the fucking world cup and italy netherlands chile usa ghana and ivory coast are watching on tv.

Best football feeling I had today since our 1998 win vs. USA and that sob Lalas

Like many of you guys have said this was a huge tactical win for TM and CQ

And for anyone who says that was a lucky own goal and gift by Morocco, I say

You don’t know anything about soccer ⚽️

That own goal was going to be put in the net by Taremi

Anyway so it didn’t matter .

And also Morocco was so tired and by itself caused them to

                                Loose consentration and focus.

All n all this was a great win for Iran and AFC as a whole after that debalcle by the Saudis .
