I have just one thing to say to all Iranians, please be greatful with what we have achieved against all odds. I read some negative posts of ungrateful people that only give us bad energy. Let these guys do their magic and support them with love and positive energy. Today I yelled at my mom when she questioned “wouldn’t it be better if we scored a goal ourselves”? I said to her, a win and 3 points it’s all that matters, nothing else does.

WOW. I was watching all players closely when the 6 mins additional time went up, there were NO SIGNS OF FATIGUE, NONE. They ran their hearts out for 96 mins and looked comfortable doing so. CQ figured out this was our main weakness at last WC, especially domestic players, and the recovery sessions, long camp, have been managed perfectly. In fact domestic players were more fit than legionairres, who seemed slightly jaded. And with all the potential for rotation, yet another reason to be optimistic. I mean, amiri was gassed at minute 60 vs venezuela in a friendly, and now ran the most of anybody on the pitch vs a top morocco side in a do or die match, and seemed to barely even break stride.
I agree with you to some extend. However, i thought we looked way too slow, passive and heavy in our movements with and without the ball.

            Really? no signs of fatigue??

Masoud literally stopped running anymore so he was subbed off...
Alireza Jahanbakhsh got cramps and was subbed off...

And bless his heart for his amazing work rate, but Hajsafi was also showing some signs of tiredness leading upto the freekick.

So I think you are exaggerating! But definitely, there are lots of positives to take from our team's improved fitness.

Interesting to read the pro-Iranian and anti-Moroccan comments of Algerians on social media!

Probably it has to do with the rivalry between the two north African nations.

Never understood the hate for him he’s always been a work horse....he has occasionally one or two suspect moments but majority of the time he is solid IMO

I have a question since so many people loved Irans performance and CQs Tactics. Iran even wanted the single point when we reached the 90th minute, so CQs dream was 1 point against Morroco and leave the WC with 1 point ?

I mean you dont go for a win in the last minutes ?

Maybe part of the slowness at the end was to take our time, to slow the game down, kill the flow of the Moroccan play and not as much to do with exhaustion as you imply.

"It was a bad defeat for Moroccans, but not an undeserved win for Iran!"

For attention of the virtual football experts who discredit Team Melli's great fighting spirit till the last minute of the game which frustrated and forced Morocco to commit their fatal mistake!

Great to see everyone including the so-called "critics" happy after TeamMelli win, but I wonder what he might have posted after an eventual failure of Team Melli!

He certainly owes Team Melli a big apology, at least!

For the next game Mohammadi should play instead of hajsafi at LB. Hajsafi needs to be on the wing where he can cross more freely.
Rezayian and jahanbakhsh had the right side covered and so most of the attacks came from the left. If Ronaldo is given the same space on our left by hajsafi, it would be a massacre.
Dejagah/ghoddos to replace shojae and ansarifard

100% Mohammadi will start against Spain and Portugal, this game against Morocco was CQ's masterpiece, one of the wildest/craziest/well executed tactical plans I have ever seen, he risked everything in this game to give us a chance in the remaining 2 games and to promote from this group.

I would expect players like Mohammadi, Taremi, and maybe even Ghoddos to start against Spain (although I believe CQ is keen on brining him in the last few minutes of the game when the opposition is tired).
