Yeah, cause they're used to living in Iran. Also, before the price of the rial plummeted so low, some players in the Iranian league actually got paid more than they would have in European teams. They also worked less harder, as the league wasn't as challenging. In other words, it was either short term easy money, or long term improvement with potential of much greater money. Most Iranian players unfortunately, choose the short term path, or just cash out in Persian Gulf leagues like Kuwait or Qatar. But now that the rial has plummeted so low, even a low European wage would be more beneficial to the player, so we'll probably see more players go to Europe for the time being at least

Hey! I've read about this being true for a few other players, and it's mostly just a known fact among those who follow Iranian football. Yeah, many of them get European offers, but prefer to go for comfort or big money rather than working hard and receiving a lower wage in Europe, in which they might also not get much playing time. Of course, this mentality is slowly going away since Carlos Quieroz took over Team Melli

Beiranvand should have gone to the EPL if his fellow Asians, Neil Etheridge (The Philippines) and Matt Ryan (Australia) are easily in their respective teams starting XI. Not to mention doing a good job week in and week out, even though Beiranvand is better than them both. Hopefully he goes in the January transfer window.
