Argentina got raped. As a matter of fact pretty much all South American teams in this tournament have been terrible. Looks like South American football is on a steep decline. Messi once again failing with his national team. I am still in shock by their horrendous display!

they may be able challenge a top european team, but historically and also based on the current FIFA rankings they are not a tier-1. While the result is shocking I do think people are overstating how bad Argentina was. They had been creating a number of decent chances, I mean Perez missed an open goal. That caballero mistake seemed to obliterate their morale though, they didn’t defend with any sort of conviction at all after that and just looked extremely impatientComment

I knew this would happen to argentina ! Messi is the only reason they are in the world cup. Otherwise they shouldn't even be here ! Croatia has a good team but they are not no where near top 5 European teams ! Funny thing is that Iceland beat them in their last H2H WCQ game. So we might be for a surprise when they play against Iceland.
If Iceland manage to get a draw against Nigeria then I would say Argentina will be 100% out of this tournament !
