Sorry for coming across as mean.x you are Iranian. I have no beef with you. However constantly having English people in Canada pronounce my name wrong or watching them act as racist cnts all the time really makes me go against them.

Yeh, my apologies too for being too cocky earlier in the thread. Croatia really taught us a lot about team spirit!

But I'm still super proud of both teams in the world cup. England for becoming 4th.

And Iran of course, for the draw against Europe's champions, beating Africa's champions and only losing 1-0 to Spain!

It's a secondary tournament in Africa. Africa Cup of Nations is the most important NT competition in the region.

It's a cup for only domestic players. So no legionnaires allowed, not even legionnaires in Africa.
Only their 3rd goalkeeper and one of the strikers were eligible to participate in that cup, so that cup has nothing to do with the team we played to begin with.
You can imagine that most African nations don't have their NT players playing in their domestic leagues, making this cup not even secondary, but just a fun event.
Egypt even refused to participate in the last edition (got a free pass), saying their league games are more important.
