Wow didn't realize South Korea were that poor. I can see them losing all 3 matches. Sweden is very average.

South Korea is so different than what they used to be 10-20 years ago. No speed. No pressing. Complete opposite.

South Korea, Saudi Arabia Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, even Japan are on a slow, deterioration, their leagues aren't producing the kind of talent ironically our league is producing, the problem is in the past our boys chose Qatar over top leagues mostly , but now thanks to CQ they are going to Europe. this is one reason we have become the Brazil of ME, producing talent like JB, Azmoun and even Taremi!

Japan has young players who scored double-digit goals in Portugal, Belgium and Netherlands this season but they didn't get called up.

Yeah, Nakajima at Portimonense, Doan at Groningen, and Morioka at Anderlecht really should have been called up.
Many Japanese fans were criticizing NT coach Nishino for not inviting enough young talent, and instead calling up guys like Honda who are way past their prime.
Speculation that the major sponsors of the team like Dentsu and Kirin were behind the firing of Halilhodzic, and have pressured Nishino into calling up more marketable players.

Mexico very impressive, they played a very fast version of 'Tika-Taka'. They surely have now become the new master in Tika-taka overtaking maestros La Roja.

Sweden what a crappy team! All they did was push, shove, jump, run and kick. Very different to great teams of 1992, 1994 and also teams of Zlatan and Henrik Larsson era. What is it with this new coach? Does he hate immigrants? Sweden is a multicultural country, this new coach had all 11 starters Swedish Scandinavians not a single immigrant! Only some names of one or two bench players were immigrants! No wonder Ibrahimovic is not in their team and Ghoddos chose Team Melli. Mexico is gonna defeat Sweden.

South Korea played well but fell short.

Germany unbelievable! Played horrible!! I now think most impressive have been Belgium, Portugal and Spain. Other big teams have not shown anything of being a potential trophy winner.

Sweden is now officially the European version of Bahrain. One gets the impression that their roster mainly comprises actors and swimmers because all they do is either flop or dive. Yikes!

none of those countries have the same passion that Iranian youth have for football ... You can tell how passionate a country is towards a given sport by following what happens in the street corners and parks, much like what you see with Basketball in the US

Japanese and even S. Koreans love Baseball. Saudi Arabia and Bahrain try to manufacture interest in football, and UAE is just 3 kingdoms

The issues with Korea/Japan in my opinion have much more to do with poor coaching and mis-management than a lack of talent

Oh I definitely would not count out Germany yet. They underestimated Mexico but Sweden and S. Korea will get beaten badly.
