You realize we've beaten Morocco already recently in a competitive match? We eliminated them in the semis of the ACN.

A team with Godin. Jimenez, Cavani, Suarez are no joke. They can beat both Spain and Portugal.

Also, we are a systems team. Some players many didn't even want here have been some of our best players because we play systematically and leave it less likely due to superstar-centered teams.

So even though we missed some of our best players this time, it hasn't impacted us much.

Uruguay in it's current form cannot beat Portugal or Spain.

I think Uruguay just greatly underestimated Saudi Arabia because of the Russia game - however they're extremely hard to break down. I never said we had a tougher group. Our ACN group was probably tougher in fact and I know group B was more difficult. I can definitely see Uruguay beating Portugal though. Besides Bernardo Silva and Ronaldo, they're pretty regular. Carvalho has impressed too but we'll see what happens.
When we get a new attacking manager with our returning injured players, we're going to be much better off.

I think menality and professionalism is the biggest asset - the fact Uruguay took Saudis lightly shows they have some mental holes in their game, which means they are not a top team.

Haha I remember that. I wouldn't take him back as he failed miserably with a great squad. We were destroying the top teams and won 3 ACNs in a row but didnt qualify for the WC. I remember our one off playoff against Algeria to qualify for 2010 - he started our top 2 strikers at the time on the bench which baffled everyone. We lost that game 0-1 then beat that same Algeria 4-0 two months later in the ACN

With all due respect kastro, the majority of our team is out of position. Hajsafi isn’t a left back. Pouraliganji and Cheshmi are defensive midfielders who our coach converted to CB. Ansarifard who is playing midfield is our 4th choice striker and is playing suprisingly well, even tho he missed some quality chances. Dejagah is injured but instead of maybe excuses our players step up. So we have injured and out of position players but we’re still in the tournament. The majority of us here were rooting for Egypt and hope you destroy Saudi. Sorry you’re getting hate from Some members here. But I don’t think you know awhole Lot about our team

Yeah the hate between the two countries stems purely from football. They finished dead last with 1 point in their WC qualifying group and only have 1 African title which was years ago. They're like the Tottenham of Africa so let them talk all they want on Twitter lol

I definitely agree. 4 starters were out though and their backups aren't on their level unfortunately. I think even with our incompetent manager, had we had them playing the outcome would have been totally different outcome.
