Montazery is tried and tested- he is solid but slower these days, nevertheless he will work his socks off- that’s guaranteed. I think CQ will stick Hosseini in, with Omid (if fit) and Saied covering the front of the 2 Centreback- it will be difficult for Spain to go through the 4 of them, so I’m cool about this.sigpic

How can anyone hate a player who is representing the name of Iran and working hard everyday for TM. Carlos trusted him and knowing how well he knows defenders I was hoping that again he would prove everyone wrong. Roozbeh had a solid game. I wouldn't compare him to seyed jalal just yet, he has a long way to go. Injuries are part of the game and it is sad to see him go down especially after a solid performance. besides a few risky challenges and some half clearances he had a good game. he had some nice blocks. Overall a good game. I think majid hosseini will be the best available option to replace roozbeh, but we also have khanzadeh, montazeri in that position. I still wish we had seyed jalal. Roozbeh get well brother

In my earlier days in this forum when I was much younger I was much more reactive and less mature. I had it out for players like Rasoul Khatibi, sattar zareh. etc. There is only one football personality in Iran that I absolutely can't stand and that is Amir ghalegohi. He is always looking to cause hashieh. He never takes blame for his many mistakes. It's always the refs fault. ....

I am really upset for him as I think he would have been another European export of ours. He may still make it based on Morocco performance. That’s what happened with Ando 2006, I don’t think he played that much in that World Cup but he got snapped up by Bolton.sigpic

Before the Morocco game i think the Cheshmi negativity was somewhat justified, i mean he had a very poor showing in the pre-WC friendlies and was responsible for a number of goals. The Morocco match was redemption and showed his mental strength and incredible improvement from what we saw previously. This is a terrible blow for us.
My biggest fear is if CQ decides to play Khanzadeh instead of Hosseini or Montezari. Pejman will have the experience playing against world class opposition as we saw how incredible he was for us against Argentina. Fitness-wise, he would be lacking however i imagine we'll be parking the bus a ton which means not too much running for our CB's; the fitness levels of our attackers and midfielders like Amiri will be tested more than anyone else. Montezari or Hosseini, in that order.
