I can't blame anyone, including myself, for changing our opinion on Cheshmi.
Cheshmi looked terrible in all pre-WC friendlies, including vs. Turkey, Algeria, and Uzbek U-23. He was at fault for several goals in the pre-WC friendlies.
However, against Morocco, he played so well that a lot of us changed our minds. We should have the right to change our mind, right? Otherwise, we'b be clinging onto outdated opinions just for the sake of consistency. New facts and circumstances can lead a reasonable person to change their mind.
I call it the Martin-Reza test. If Martin-Reza, a very logical and rational person, says it, then it must be true. And Martin-Reza was rightly critical of Cheshmi before the WC. As was everyone else. We're not football coaching experts to see what CQ sees in him, and if we were, we wouldn't post on PFDC.
Moral of the story, blame Martin-Reza
