Exact same way as the Spain game.
Very closed in the first half - especially the first 20 minutes and then open up slowly in the 2nd half.
Be wary of the referee. FIFA wants Ronaldo in the final, yesterday they gave the victory against Morocco to Portugal. I would say play as attacking as possible because this Portuguese team has one player & 10 nobodies

Agree wholeheartedly.
As Iranians we are naturally suspicious of the referee in the first place.
exactly the same way we played morocco and spain. Portugal must win so they are gonna get more and more desperate when time passes, i.e. prone to mistakes, i.e. chance for Iran for a late winner!
I am 100% certain thats what CQ will pass on to players too.

Actually they need a draw. We must win. I say reverse the Spain game. Try to get the lead and then shutdown. Anything other than a victory is not enough as I suspect Spain will control the game against Morocco and at a min come up with a point if not all 3.

This is also a way, that needs consideration!
I don’t want to be in CQs shoes now... These people (headcoaches) have sometimes to do so many difficult decisions.
Lets hope the best.
How will the TM players hold up physically? Have they got enough left in the tank to do another 110km or so in this game? I think that is the crucial question. In the last world cup in the 3rd game the players had spent themselves and couldn't lift their game. Do we have it in us this time around? Had CQ kept some players for this game and will rotate some players? These are the questions for me?

That is so true!
World Cup is a big marketing event. Ronoldo's sponsors won't be happy if he is not in the final. Teams like Iran in the final is not going to be financially desirable.

As we have a right to be. Last WC against Argentina, we could have and should have won the game. Gucci was fouled in the box on the counter and no penalty was given. If VAR had been around then, we would have been awarded the penalty. But now, we score a goal and NO NO NO WE CAN'T HAVE THAT LET'S FIND A WAY TO TAKE IT AWAY -- VAR PLEASE! It's bullshit.
