Its been a joyful and exciting journey for every one of us, our team made us proud with their patriotic performance.

As an Iranian I would like to thank Carlos and our Team Melli players for bringing joy to every Iranian, especially in these hard times for our country.

I Just want to say Carlos you should have taken out taremi and put in ghoddos instead of ARJ for ghoddos

I remember a thread on whether he should be fired when he doesnt get us any points with this group, he should be given a big bonus and a lucrative contract. Any other group with this squad wouldve advanced. With the way our players are heading in Europe, we need a good coach to make that happen next WC and Carlos is that coach.

You guys were great too, both of our teams were unlucky and at par with Portugal and Spain

amazing performance by TM. Every player did well and the strategy to advance almost worked. No one would have predicted 4 points for us in this tough group. Even Lalas, a notorious Iran hater praised the team.

I think we need to step back and see exactly why we are upset right now. We are upset because we were an inch away from defeating the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS, TOP of our group ahead of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. We never could have imagined ever being in such a position, but here we are. It hurts, there's absolutely no denying it, but i'll be damned if i'm not proud of what this team has done. A historic World Cup for us of sorts, albeit without achieving our ultimate goal of progressing to R16.

My biggest hope is for us to get some good transfers for our boys this summer. Every. Single. One. They all played out of their minds and deserve to play at the top level of football. This is the key to our improvement and development down the line, and whether we'll be able to make a different in 2022 WC. No more russian or greek leagues. I want to see them in Bundesliga, La Liga, Premier League, Serie A. They deserve it.

To those of you who have been badmouthing our team, our coach, our players: shame on you. YOU are the true disgrace to our football, YOU are why our boys were shaking from nervousness at the beginning of the game. Look beyond your keyboard and see how far they have come with all the setbacks and difficulties. I am ashamed to even say that Team Melli has such "fans."

Aside from those bitter few, our boys have made an entire nation incredibly proud and joyful and they deserve all the praise in the world.
