Im sick and tired of always being the bridesmate and never the bride. Im sick of people going on Facebook and Social Media now saying.. Oh Nike cancelled us, We have nothing In Iran, Lower class Players and we tied PORTUGAL WOWWW DAMET GARM.. Albania tied Portugal so did Iceland so did Hungary..

Team Melli lacks the killer instinct against big times.. CQ has drilled us well.. Our TM is like an army, If CQ says jump off the bridge, the boys will do it. But lets cut out the bullshit stuff about how we over came everything but still ended up not making it out of the group, or narrowly loosing to Argentina, CQ should drill that Killer Instinct into us from now on.

AC 2019.. A win or nothing else

Wc 2022.. Regardless of the group we should advance.

Did we set a record for number of captains in this World Cup? I counted 4 different ones wearing the armband over our three games: Shohaei, Hajsafi, Jahanbakhsh and Ansarifard.

I AM PROUD GUYS WE GOT 4 POINTS OUT OF GROUP OF DEATH. We had no prepairing well and all the International World thought we had no chance. Even German TV online said we had the best of Portugal game and we deseverd to go round of 16! I am proud of the boys. We have to practice to make goals for World Cup 2022 and CQ can start by now.

We can be even one time win the World Cup guys we playing excelent. Even my 5 friends they are full-German was very suprised what they have seen. One of them was professional footbnaller and he was very suprised of Iran. My friends where happy for me and Iran.. they never expected Iran like this. I am sad Morocco did not win otherwise we where in the round of 16! and it is sad Iran not made it 2:1 winning goal

Yeah it hurts not making it out of the group stages, but not everything goes your way. That being said, lets review our players performance for today's game:

Beiranvand- 8.5

Had some poor exits and IMO, overall had his worst game of the world cup. But for Beiranvand to get a 8.5 on his worst game shows how amazing he's been for us this world cup! From a homeless young Iranian boy, to a Team Melli keeper saving a Ronaldo penalty. Just wow. Europe to come for him soon.

Majid Hosseini- 7

Played very solid IMO. A little nervous on the ball, but who are you kidding when u have Ronaldo a few feet from you. Won a lot of headers.

Pouraliganji- 7.5

Our future star center back. He had a very good game and kept Portugal mostly at bay. Both him and Hosseini partner up very well.

Ramin Rezaeian- 9 (MOTM)

What a beast! LOL. Who thought Rezaeian could hold his ground so well against Ronaldo! Ronaldo had one shot on target if im not mistaken, and it was a very poor angle. I'll never forget how Ramin took our free kick, then seconds later, is clearing a portuguese cross with a monster header.

Ehsan Hajsafi- 6

Got absolutely WRECKED by Quaresma all game.. Really don't understand the obsession of playing Hajsafi over Milad Mo.. Hajsafi is better at passing/crossing (barely). Thats literally it. Sexy nutmeg though

Omid Ebrahimi- 8

Another heart-felt performance by Ebrahimi. Had a bunch of nice tackles and made some decent passes although he took a few terrible touches. Although he was slow he HUSTLED a bunch.

Vahid Amiri- 7

Amiri was amazing this entire world cup. Goddamn. Who the hell expected this??? He was a little off his game, but man does he hustle. I really see why CQ plays him so much now. Has a killer through ball and nice first touch. I'll never forget his nutmeg on Pique

Saeid Ezatolahi- 7

Was much better against Spain but was still decent against Portugal. Was outplayed by Carvalho (what a beast, although he should've had a penalty for his foul on Azmoun), but still made a lot of tackles and had a good amount of passes. Hope he gets snatched up by a La Liga or EPL club.

Taremi- 8

Wow.. Imagine if he had finished that last shot.. Would've been the greatest day in Iranian football history. He hustled so well and actually kept possession pretty well. IMO he was our most dangerous forward.

Azmoun- 7

Again won so many headers. He really hustled and played well. Lost the ball a lot but it's because he gets quickly double teamed, just like ARJ. People are too tough on Azmoun and ARJ.

Jahanbakhsh- 7

Had some nice dribbles and passes. It's really hard to play so defensive then pull a switch and go on attack like ARJ does... Not to mention he gets triple teamed every time hes on the ball. Messi or Ronaldo wouldn't do much either in his position...

SUBSTITUTES:

Milad Mo- 8.5

What a god. Comes in and completely shuts down the left flank. His pace was absolutely disgusting.. Got passed like 5 Portuguese players there.. Dude is so goddamn underrated.

Ghoddos- 8

Looks energetic whenever he's on the pitch. Had a nice chance to score but it went slightly wide. Dribbled pretty well and had some good passes.

Ansarifard- 8?

Hard to judge cuz he didn't really play too much but wow, what a nice penalty!

Totally agree on Taremi and Ramin, they killed it today.
Ghoddos deserved much more time, dont see why CQ would always wait with him..
And last, AJ also did great.

Azmoun was man marking William Carhalho for 70 minutes v which is why Portugal had trouble finding good passes through the middle as Pepe and Fonte didn't bring the ball forward from the defense which William usually does.

Major props to MilMo. As soon as he came on, he shut down the left wing defensively. He shut down Queresema, so much so that he got subbed. And he shut down Bernardo Silva (Man City, who?).

Not only that, he was great coming forward. He's so freaking fast, he must be one of the fastest players in recent TM history. He blew by four Portuguese players in one scene.

What a player! Can't wait to see him grow and mature.
