Today once again money and corruption spoke and beat justice. Ronaldo purposely elbowing PAG’s face with sole intention of hitting and injuring the player warranted nothing but a juicy and immediate red card. That shouldn’t have even needed a VAR call. Then came the second suspicious penalty scene which absolutely required VAR, for never happened either. Hell even TV coverage refrained from replaying the scene closely. Too much BS happened to call it just a coincidence.

Nonetheless I urge you guys not to kiss this beautiful post-match analysis:

If only Taremi had scored that chance.....

Ramin, Ebrahimi, Amiri, Beiranvand and Ezatollahi and even Sardar were amazing. 2nd Tier of players were JB, Pouraliganji, Taremi, Ghoddos, Hosseini and Hajsafi.

Shojaei because of his injury underperformed. Maybe it's time he retired.

I have good news for you. Somewhere in Iran, there is a little boy who watched this game and decides right now, that he will be better than any of our players we had. In the near future we will have an Iranian Salah, where Nike and all the other f******ing companies are begging to wear their brands. And this is because Teame Melli played with so much passion. Thank YOU!!!!!

i think its cute that we won the hearts of many by the way we played vs portugal and spain, but we got 1/6 points. while we played like ass vs morocco and got 3/3 points

although the ref and VAR were ass, we should have never let the game be in their hands and we should have capitalized on our chances. Taremi, Mr. Qatari league had a quality chance to tie spain, misses the net. has a chance to beat portugal, misses the net. its inexcusable. but my goodness how were those two fouls on azmoun in the 18 not called, but ronaldos which was the same shit was reviewed without hesitation

after these past 3 games, Ramin, MiMo, Eza, maybe Amiri and Omid b/c of age, PAG, Hosseini, AJB, Ghoddos, and BEIRO all deserve to play in a big 4 league. they were marvelous

our future is looking good as long as CQ is in charge. we also have a few youngsters choosing to play in Begium rather than playing in iran qatar or uae. its a step in the right direction.

Everyone played their hearts out. Proud of all the boys and staff...

If I had to criticize, I was disappointed with Amiri, Ezatolahi, and Taremi. Amiri was not as sharp as the last two games and seemed to be gassed out. Ezatolahi has a bright future but he lacks the experience and coolness, a lot of tackles that resulted in free kicks/penalty and that fiasco with Beiranvand. Taremi fought hard but had a few good chances including a golden opportunity that he didn't utilize...he is just not a good finisher. Also someone like Mohammadi could have done a better job at handling Quaresma over Hajsafi.

I would have kept the same lineup but started Mohammadi over Hajsafi, Dejagah over Amiri, Cheshmi if not injured over Ezatolahi. Then in 2nd half sub in Ghoddos for Dejagah, Gucci for Taremi, Ansarifard for Ezatolahi/Cheshmi.

Anyway, its easy to criticize and provide suggestions after the game is over. What I know for sure is that we have a bright future, good job TM.

Do you sometimes re-read your own comments? I am serious, do you do that once your anger/frustration has eased down? We got 1/6 point, how much the 2010 world champions got? how much the Euro 2016 champions got? Wait a second did we play 3 games in Asian Cup or World Cup against 2 of the biggest teams in the world? and African champions who BTW happened to be the best African team of the tournament by far (Performance wise)? We barely lost to Spain and drew Portugal. We actually could have beaten both of them had some luck and FIFA fairness been on our side.

You're crucifying Traemi for having missed a difficult angle shot. What do you call Ronaldo for having screwed up the penalty shot?

Cynicism at its finest with illogical logic!

Be happy that for the first time in our history we earned 4 points and almost qualified as the top team above Portugal and Spain...

one was the altercation between Beiranvand & Ezzatollahi. Now I know it was a highly stressful situation and you just cant afford such mix ups and lapses in communication against such teams. But still … come on lads. The whole world is watching.
clearly they made up (as they shd) by halftime or even before that. And carried on with te game.

But another instance was when the penalty was called and I saw Rezaeian actually pull the ball out of another player's hands and fight to take it. To have 2-3 players fight for the ball was simply embarrassing. Now from what I could see, of all those involved he was acting the worst. A major embarrassment.
But then again, throughout the tournament he looked stressed and angry at something or someone. always on the edge! which clouds his good performances.

we certainly could have done without these two incidents.
Great analysis overall, but i felt the need to step in on this one... simply because Ramin has been getting a lot of heat from members for the last month. (regarding Ezzat and Beira, arguments happen on the pitch, we are just so used to not seeing it under CQ, I feel like we forgot it is something that happens occasionally.

                    Regarding Ramin:

                    1. I also thought he wanted to take the penalty, but watched it again a bit closer with slo mo, rewinding, etc... Taremi has the ball first and looks like he wants to shoot (probably bad idea with full respect I have for Mehdi). Ramin does take it away, but just before the scene ends, you can see him give the ball to Karim - it happens a microsecond before the scene shifts, so you have to watch closely. I think he was simply saying Mehdi don't take it, Karim will take it. Don't think he wanted to shoot for himself.

                    2. I also want to add, just because people think he isn't the best teammate. Look who is the only one to immediately console Beira after the Quaresma goal. Ramin goes right up to Beira and tells him let's keep going, its not over yet. He might seem intense sometimes, but I think he brings a lot of motivation on the pitch.

**Side note just to show how much of a great team we are. After Mehdi's miss in the dying seconds, Sardar goes straight to him and encourages him to keep going, there is still time, we can get another chance.

                    Love these lads

i don't care for spain and portugal. my point is people here were upset after the morocco win because we didn't win in style. so now that we tied and loss "in style" people are happy. which is why i made that comment. I'm extremely proud of TM. maybe my comment on Taremi was a little harsh, but he had chances to make history for us. spain and portugal have advanced out of their group several times while we had not. I'm upset because this time i knew we could do it, as someone mentioned in another thread, they said we're upset that we tied the euro champs which shows how far we've come. if we were as bad as saudi and tied id be ecstatic, but we're not. as far as ronaldo miss goes, had Taremi scored, i promise you that ronaldo would be crucified worse than Taremi.
just look at what happened to Messi

for me everyone was great. I feel we did our best on and off the field.

Obviously we are missing a play maker and the only negative i can get out of this game is the late substitutions. I think Ghodoos deserved more playing time and it was clear how quickly he effected both games when he came on. Hajsafei would have been more effective at CM in this game. and finally i think in the last 20 minutes we should have subbed azmoun, he was running on fumes.

i give each and every single one of them a 10/10. no discussion. i have never ever been so happy with TM Performance as in These three hard games. all i do hope and wish for now is a) carlos gets his contract prolonged for four years and b) that each and every single one of our Players gets a move to a good Club in europe.

I would give the team a 10 out of 10, considering all the BS that CQ and the whole team had to deal with.
The team played very disciplined and implemented the tactics of the coach very well. Everyone in the world is stunned how a team can be so tactically disciplined both on defence and attack.
The team is made of all the coaches and players on and off the bench and when a team plays so brilliantly disciplined (like a real team) then everyone gets 10 out of 10. They played three intense games and they stayed physically strong for all three games and their standard of running was in par with the best teams in the world.
And lastly please stop picking on Taremi. CQ brings the best out of a forward in a winger position and the player steps up and does a brilliant job in that position and runs up and down the line to defend and attack with his heart and this is how we thank him? He really deserves to be appreciated like everyone else in the team.
I cried when I read his interview after the game telling the fans to not insult his family, mother and sister in social media and only insult him personally. It really felt sick hearing him say that. How can a real fan not see how the whole team including Taremi and the coaches gave their 200% in this WC and they deserve 200% support.
And yes if their 200% is still less than 80% of Spain or Portugal, then they are not at fault because our football is not comparable with those countries.

Great World Cup, even if our best Forwards did not have a good World Cup but they are still Young. Hopefully the Iran based Players (and PAG) dont sign in the arab leagues now, come to europe damn it.
