He wasn't their star player, he was completely ineffective. I also never said it would have no effect.

While I understand you're upset at the result (but 1-1 against the European champions, almost 2-1, should be cheered), you shouldn't take your anger out on fellow fans by looking for excuses to hurl insults. That is the worst type of fan, as it makes all of us look bad when a neutral reads this behaviour. Just keep calm and read carefully before replying.

As I said: you obviously have never played a sport before in your life. Let me quickly explain. Ronaldo is a star player okay? He was ineffective against Morocco and still scored one goal. That’s what star players do okay? A star player can play like ass the entire game and still score okay? Ronaldo was dangerous every time he got the ball with his quickness. So just because he didn’t score doesn’t mean he’s ineffective.

Bro don’t act superior. All your posts are negative energy condescending nonsense. Miss me with that.

Ronaldo was on the pitch all game and didn't score, so your point is moot. And as I said, I never said what you claimed I said, you're attacking me for nothing.

I don't know how you can pretend to yourself I'm acting superior and my posts have "negative energy" and are condescending when even this posts starts with the 'never played a sport before' insult. As much as you repeat it, it remains illogical and condescending. Even if I had never played a sport before, maybe I have a disability? Think carefully before being aggressive to people, especially fellow fans. I'm sure this forum likes respect and not aggression.

Bro just relax and forget about it, what's done is done in the game there's no changing it.

I'm sorry if I may have came off aggressive in my initial post, it was not towards you but rather the match/referee.

If you don't actually have a response, why respond?... But I'm guessing this reply isn't "acting superior", nor is it condescending or negative:

I'm seeing a dark side of this forum I'm not enjoying, and I may have to leave. I thought I had found a place to get back to my Persian roots. But I dread to think what this type of fan would be like had Iran actually lost badly as expected and Carlos failed...

We can be emotional, that doesn't mean it makes sense to start attacking each other. That is quite a dark side in my opinion.

No, not a good day, at the moment you've made it a pretty **** day after that result. Thanks, my fellow Team Melli supporter.

Before the tournament, I did not honestly expect us to finish with 4 points and push two of the best European teams so far.

Yes, it hurts that we won't face a weak Russian side on Sunday, as we would have had a very real prospect of reaching the quarter-finals.

However, I think what matters more is the performance of the team over the three games, the pride and honour they displayed was exemplary.

The way that our players fought for every ball and every blade of grass is what will live long in my memory, not the specifics of decisions that went against us or half-chances that were missed.

In Belo Horizonte four years ago, we almost achieved something remarkable.
Today, this is a great opportunity, a fantastic springboard to build on and move forward.

what they need to do is narrow down the options of using VAR.

right now the VAR is used selectively and whether people believe it or not, IS unfair to lower seed countries. The plays on the field should be called by the refs unless it's a goal line controversy or a flop to give a redcard to your opponent. They can even use it to call corners or GKs. To have VAR being used for everything including fouls, offsides becomes a joke and as we have seen, is used selectively.

Let's be honest we didn't deserve that penalty, but we should have gotten a penalty with the Carvalho tackle and Ronaldo should've gotten a red. If proper refereeing happened and we got that earlier penalty and Ronaldo fired, we would have equalized earlier and had a better shot at winning since they would have been 1 man down...we also got screwed over with the extra time since over half of the extra time was used for VAR / penalty / goal...

The biggest robbery in the corrupt history of football!!

All the weaker teams that were victims of FIFA’s corporation and injustice must come together in an alliance against FIFA, until the world unites against them they will continue with their injustice chopping the heads of weaker teams for profit making

I thought it was a fair refereeing, but we had more than one incident all against weaker teams, if it was one or two instances you could write it off as human error but when you see it on daily basis against weaker teams you have to believe there is an agenda at play

This is not some I say, or just few disgruntled fans, this is something that is being stated by world’s famous commentators and analysts that are fed up with injustice and corruption of FIFA, those analyst breath football fay in day out and are aware of hidden hands behind the scenes

Just take a look at this video of how fed up these guys are, this is just the tip of the iceberg

I believe the red card to ronaldo would have got us the victory we needed,

and also in contrary to the video above I firmly believe the penalty that was given to us was a correct penalty as it was a hand ball with the player knowingly changed the direction of the ball

Also we had another instance earlier that we were suppose to be given a penalty but we were never given the chance for VAR
