Ronaldo should have been given a straight red, or a 2nd yellow when he handballed around minute 90.

Its frankly insulting for you to call us Daei Jan Napoleonis when most people are aware that the stars of the game get away with alot more!
Its why a guy like Lebron James can travel in the NBA and get away with it. Or why Sidney Crosby is viewed as a crybaby or why CR7 and Neymar don't get ejected.
Again we can twist it as much as we want, but the question was whether he was unfair or not. And the fact is that he could have screwed us much more if he actually was unfair. Just because he was not the best ref and didn't call your subjective (you're no expert nor were you there) doesn't mean that he was unfair.

First step is to admit you're not objective (by far) and are emotionally invested and have something to gain here. All that means that your perception/point of view/believe are not totally fair and neutral.

Regarding the rest of your posts about the slack that the Stars get. Yes they get it and they get it against all teams and not only Iran. It's the same thing as having a home advantage. This happens (in most cases) unconsciously. They've done many test with the watching videos of fouls with sound and without sound of the crowd and time and again the result were that the refs watching the clip with sound are way more likely to give a foul and card than the ones who watch the clip without sound.

This is a privilege only a handful of people get. If we want to have that too, maybe we should start investing in our players so that can win a couple of Ballon d'ore as well.

And don't forget that players like Ronaldo, Neymar and Suarez also have a disadvantage due to their reputation. The refs know that they dive and act like they've been fouled, so they're more likely to not give the foul or even give them yellows for diving.

We went yelling at ref way too often and way too aggressively, we made some harsh tackles (a couple of times with both legs and also "scissoring legs"). So we made it easy for a biased ref to screw us, yet we weren't.
The Ronaldo penalty was a 100% penalty (even though he went for it and was his only intention) and our penalty wouldn't have been given by some refs and without the VAR we wouldn't get it anyways.
So no we didn't get screwed. stopt it. just stop it.
Dude, what are you talking about? They cannot just be blatant and obvious about cheating, otherwise they will lose ratings and viewers. It's done in a subtle way.

And the cheating is from the top down, it's not 1 ref. There are like 10 refs watching each game.

^^ you just admitted the star players get the call ..... that totally throws away your argument that the refereeing in the Iran-Portugal was fair.

absolutely. The selective use of VAR is to make sure the outcomes are what FIFA wants.

Honestly, the VAR thing just backed fired on FIFA so hard, it's made their corruption much more clear now. Before there was some doubt that maybe the ref just missed a call, since he's just one official.

Now you can't say that anymore, since there are like 10 refs watching the game from like 30 different camera angles.

The corruption and cheating is so clear now that you even have major media outlets talking about it.

what the hell are people complaining about? The penalty to Ronaldo was a clear foul. His foul on PAG was purely accidental. I didnt even think it deserved a yellow, he was trying to run past him.

The handball that gave us a PK was 50/50 and we were lucky to get it.

God I am so embarrassed by how much whining Iranians do. Just like when they complain about grass rolling but turn a blind eye when we do it. Sad....

No it doesn't. You just don't seem to get it out I'm not explaining it well enough.

But ask yourself 2 question and you know whether the ref was fair or not:

                1. Are you objective in your views
                2. Could the ref screw us in more instances (more instances than you think he screwed us as I think he didn't screw us on purpose in any call).

                  1. Yes

                  2. Yes, but that would just make them more corrupt versus just corrupt
