THIS IS HOW CLOSE it was...

if that goal against Spain, stood! which the ref had given, but var didnt, the table would have looked like this

    Portugal 5 pts
    Iran 5 pts
    Spain 3 pts
    Morroco 1 pt

so if anyoen is saying we didnt get roobed we DID get robbed, but in the Spain game...

FIFA needs spain in the world cup for $

but everyone saw how well we did over all in this World Cup, and until the very last second we had a chance and if that shot was a few inches the other way we would have been TOP of that group.

    the group of death..

we came to the world cup to make a statement, we made it!

i can assure you Ronaldo and all his teammates nearly had a heart attack when Taremi was about to strike that ball at the end....

bravo to the lads! every year we improve, Carlow we love you dearly, please stay with us! NOW WE GO AN WIN THE ASIAN CUP!!

I appreciate your sentiments and I am also happy Iran made such a strong statement. However, the offsides was called on the field of play and it was the correct call.

People still seem confused. The Ref DID NOT allow the goal. The side judge raised his flag late. VAR was used to confirm the goal being called off. If there was no VAR we still wouldn't have scored.

The linesmen felt the goal was offside but that it was close, so he raised his flag when the ball was out of play, as instructed by the rules.

VAR was just used to double-check. If there was no VAR, the goal would've been immediately ruled offside.
