We have to see the positive, from now on we will get rid of the 'old guards' and start with a fresh and highly talented team. I'm very optimistic about our future. I feel like we'll have a very strong team come 2022. This squad could easily win the Asian Cup.

Half of the squad posted by GG4L are based abroad (discounting the players in the UAE). It is no coincidence that as the number of players playing in Europe has grown so have our performances (taking nothing away from CQ). The natural talent is there but in most cases it needs to be nurtured.

Was very pleased to see Charleroi taking a gamble on a couple of our younger players. I think Hosseini did more than enough to generate some interest and it would be great to see him develop abroad. Hopefully, some of our more established players in Europe will also move to bigger leagues and further their development.

Its very important to include Reza Shekari, hope he will shine next season. We really need a playmaker, 90% of our attacks came from long balls. If we can solve this problem than Iran will become a strong team like Uruguay.

I agree, but I couldn't think who to drop. I wouldn't drop Ebrahimi or Amiri personally. The centre backs and full backs should remain too. Strikers and wingers are going nowhere.

I agree, he is only 31, 32 in soon and he is still class. The reason why I haven't included him is because Nottingham Forest have released him and I don't see him getting a club after not appearing in the world cup.

Really good list. I'd like to see Taha Shariati, Younes Delfi, and Shekari there if they play a good amount of games for their club teams in the fall. Against a team like Vietnam we could have 2-3 youngsters start/sub in if the score allows it

We haven't won a big title/Asian Cup in a long time, so it would be nice for our national team. Also it would help promote some of our players on the international stage which could lead to more transfers to Europe which would then better our team as a whole.

Yes the Asian winner is in the confed cup
