Won't hear a bad word said about the man, he's as committed as they come and his reaction showed it. His record also speaks for itself, he's performed for TM consistently where most people's favourite son ARJ hasn't.
Having said all that, I don't see him keeping his starting spot in a couple years time unless he gets himself into Europe.Comment

My respect for him has increased 100x after his display in the world cup. His work rate and commitment was phenomenal.

Others have also noted here as well, In the Portugal game, Taremi and Sardar were a menace. Sardar was pulling triple duty as Target man, false 9 and defense. Taremi and ARJ had one of the highest work rates. I'm so proud of the kids. We fielded one of the youngest teams. If not for Shojaie, probably the youngest. All the people who are criticizing him are wrong. It part of soccer. Sometimes you get good touches on the ball, sometimes you don't. Even happens to the Messi's and Ronaldo's. That shot is a really hard shot because his hips were facing out.
