so as I said anyone who thinks japan is the best asian team must go and have their heads examined. Japan was leading 2-0 what happened? a team that is lucky to score two goals fails to maintain the lead is a crap team. They played Belgium and I don't rate Belgium above Portugal or Spain.

Japan is better than us in possession, offensively. Defensively and physically they are really weak. And their coach was so naive, why try to win 3-0? Park the bus for 15 mins and youre there. I think we would beat them for sure, but they are a very fun team to watch, and a very respectful and disciplined people and nation. Credit to them for putting on a show this match. Overall great WC for Asia, horrible for Central America, Africa.

Japan has earned much more respect than Iran. From talents to playing style, they are heads and shoulders above the rest of Asia.

They played actuall football.
Japan, Iran, South Korea and Australia are really good and the interesting aspect is that they all have a complete different playing style and Quality!

I couldnt rate anz nation higher than the other one.

We werent able to creat and finish chances!
The others couldnt defend a s good as we did!
Australia showed a lto of will-power!

I hope Iran plays against Japan in Asian Cup so we can see who is really stronger!

Ps I am sure a lot of japanese players will be transfered to europe again!

Because Japan bursted the bubble of illusion that we are the best in Asia. Just look at their squad which is full of proven players in the top 5 leagues.

Again, Japan played the same style as TM. They just finished a few chances and had a bit of luck. That's not to take away anything from them. They area very good team. Defensively very naive though.

Japan has been playing organised and disciplined football for at least two decades. Is this all they can do? and with a little help from their friends in the West too? No sanctions, plenty of encouragements, loads of good talks from all commentators, all doors open to them, all top clubs welcome them, all top teams play friendlies with them. The list of advantages goes on and on. And yet the best they can do is just get passed the group stages in a weak group. Yeah sure if Japan is the best team in Asia then Asian football is really shite.

Football isn't the most popular sport in their country unlike the rest of Asia yet they have enjoyed more WC knockout stage appearances and Asian Cup titles than any other Asian country in the last 30 years.

Respect to Japan they are a real quality side. They lack a bit of discipline in the back but they are one organized team that can compete at the highest level as we all saw today. Unfortunately they just didn’t have the experience or the guidance of a top class coach that u need to stay cool in that situation.
