Iran of course - nobody gave us a chance to get more than a point and we came out with 4 and nearly topped the group. The way we played against Portugal was incredible and one of the best TM performances I have seen. We deserved another goal

Japan is playing very admirably though too....as usual very modern style of play and they have great individual talent as well. Don’t think they’re better than us but they are a clear 2nd IMO and the biggest threat to us in the AC in January

While on paper it's a great result for Korea but Germany has no one to blame but themselves for their horrendous finishing, the worst being the open header which was shouldered wide.

Has anyone looked at Asian cup bracket? I know it’s too early but there so many bad teams that I doubt we will have that many upsets in group stage

It looks like one side will have Iran/Australia/japan, other side will have UAE/saudi/Korea

Lucky for us , assuming Australia and Japan win their group and first knockout stage, they will play each other in QF. While we will likely face China/Thailand in QF lol

Obviously I say Iran is the best for many reasons

But I enjoyed watching Japan,Australia and even Korea today vs Germany

All in all I am very proud of ASia however I believe Japan played the best offensive

Football if any other AFC team and I really liked it.

Overall, a great showing from Asian teams.
Ofc, Iran made a name for themselves.
Korea beat Germany and eliminate them.
Japan vying for spot in knockouts.
Australia competed well against France
Even KSA did solid against Uruguay and Egypt
