There goesh Messi! What is going on? Everybody is going or left us. Who we have now left as striker? Is Alireza Jahanbakhsh the next one?

Ok I expect so much of Sadar Azmoun in this World Cup because he did great for his club and wanted to move to big clubs in Europe. And he made goal against Ajax and Bayern München. He was a great player. I execpt at least some goals of him as they called him Messi.. against Spain or Portugal I was always waiting for the Sadar Azmoun moment

What Carlos Queiroz will do now one by one he's top players are going out? Do we need to invite players from U-17 team they did very goid at the World Cup

I am now so worried that even Carlos Queiroz will leave us. What you in this situation do if you see your top players going. Sadar Azmoun think only about him self and not the Asian Cup!! We need a good players

Good riddance. What a professional player! It should be a privilege to wear TM shirt. Well at least now he has no reason to leave his comfort zone in Russia.

That Twitter account isn't actually his, it's a fan account. It just says that IFF has requested the clubs to give two weeks rest to the national team players before they start training

            Draaaaaaaamaaaaaaa.

Hey everybody, I’m retiring from TM also!

Seriously, what a waste of talent and potential. Is he so sensitive that he is going to let negative comments on his social media bother him to this extent? What about all the people who praised him and sent him positive notes? So he didn’t take any of the positive comments to heart, but letting the negative BS sink in? So very sad.

Iranians should not have access to social media, be it the fans or the players. We have no janba, a nation is only successful when it’s people learn to respect each other regardless of our differences.
Sardar needs to grow up, he has to be a professional.

Sardar will be back soon when someone puts their arm around him and says nice things to him.

The bigger worry which we have all noted before is the monumental immaturity and obsession with social media in our younger players. We need good sports psychologists in future TM camps and also the more mature players themselves need to lead by example in these regards. We risk players who are immensely fragile and obsessed with their image rather than just doing the task at hand.

Really this is such a new phenomenon that I don't think psychologists are adequately trained to handle it. The young generation seem to be so obsessed with it that their entire life including their emotions are so tied to it. unbelievable.

Psychologists are able to handle it ... now the players need to go to psychologists, that's the only obstacle. Are they willing to go?

Wait - so he is going to quit Team but stay on social media? Then the comments will be much more fierce if he decides to do this. The mama jokes people will throw at him and his mother will intensify five folds.

The only solution for him is to delete social media and his mother to not visit it. Really, there is no option if he is offended by it, but it has nothing to do with TM.

I think it has to be online psychologists

Psychologists/psychoanalysts are equipped to handle with human emotions - there is no "Social Media' psychologists. It's the fact that Sardar is a bit of a bache naneh and he has thin skin. He was saying how Portuguese players were insulting him. Like that happens everywhere professional!

He needs to grow up and separate from his parents. He needs to stop giving credence to the opinions of others - especially keyword warriors.

Exactly, We are culturally soft. Not aggressive enough to compete at world level. This is a fact. You rip the piss out of say someone too much and you will be reprimanded/warned/ neg repped. We feed fuel this soft emotional culture ourselves. We are all to blame.

By doing this - people are going to attack his mother more. He put her out there and now she has become fair game.

Terrible thinking by Sardar - and if he actually thought about this - he would not have made this decision. But thinking has not been one of his strong points. He seems to want to be cuddled by parent-types (i.e. Berdyev etc.), that's not how the world works.
