This is exactly my sentiments that I have been saying on this thread. That his emotional state led to his decision and is not really surprising if you consider all of the evidence.

Instead of focusing on transferring out of Rubin, he is focusing on this b.s. because he wants more appeasement and assurances. You cannot assure someone who is not assured - that's his emotional state.

I'm afraid he's not gonna get anywhere with this mentality!

I remember his dad was getting quite aggressive verbally after someone criticized Sardar or Berdiev sometime ago.

I know it is not easy to remain focused when your loved ones are going througha difficult time, but for God's sake, you're a professional!

I'm surprised by the comments here. Sardar is our most talented player and has always fought for his country. How is it ok to insult him or his mother?
He has every right to choose his personal life and time with his mother over team melli after all these insults he received so far.
Yes, he's emotional but I have a question for everyone here. When you know someone is emotional, do you try to cheer that person up or will you continue saying things to make the situation worse?

I had this dilemma and after four months of reflection and consultaion i reached the conclusion to stay with my family and distance myslef from Team Melli for a while!

I have discussed this with CQ and Alireza JB who are my dear friends and they also told me they would have done the same if they had been my situation.

He denies the recent criticism to his game having influenced his decision making.

I will continue my football despite not playing for TM. I am only 23 and have big dreams in football. I have another year of contract in Russia and I hope to progress in this sport!

My suggestion for sardar

1-Delete all social media
2-Get rid of his agent/advisors/parents
3-Live alone and gain independence
4-Hit the gym and bulk up
5-Make real friends and stop chasing celebs
6-Grow the fuck up

If he follows these points, he might make it.

- his retirement is on a temporary basis because of family reasons.

And LOL at the Iranian tabloids reporting Dejagah, Montazari, and Shojaei retiring from Team Melli.. The only one who may retire soon is Montazari. The rest still have a desire to play in the Asian Cup.
