I gave him his own spot on the poll simply due to 2 reasons....at this point, he is our most experienced defender and rose to the occasion in Russia by being (arguably) our best player this WC.

That being said the other options are always going to be a bit more popular due to experience since that’s a big factor in these things.

        Malavan Bandar Anzali

From the list I’m going to say PAG.

Ehsan lost his cool and nearly headbutted the ref.
Karim is too quiet and shy.
AJB comes across too nice but has potential.

Our boys need to study Nekunam, he was the perfect captain in terms of confidence, cool and being able to able to talk to the ref without coming across too confrontational.

I would say Karim, but i dont want him in the first 11 and i believe the captain should be a starter.
In that case it choose Ehsan because of his experience/number of caps and has also played in Europe.
PAG maybe in a couple of years after he hopefully moves abroad and gains some valuable experience.
AJB maybea couple of years along with PAG

Ehsan has been good but not good enough. He loses his cool and gets into argument with stupid refs that could give him yellow card. he does not stop his players from arguing with referees. He takes every shot on free kicks and gives no one a chance even with a leg that was hurt.
Ability to take Penalty shots are a fundamental requirement for a captain. Not sure if he would have made that last one that Karim successfully finished.
Ability to speak English well is important. Not sure which players can do it. JB spoke english very well once.
A captain must look at the positions in free kicks and help to put the players in the right place. He should be like a sheepdog. A timid or bashful person cannot be captain just like a por roo with face of sange paaye ghazvin is equally bad.
Maybe Karim is good for the job in Asian cup. JB can be the alternative when karim is subbed out.

Karim was cool for the penalty shot. Most others would have been nervous. He showed some signs of Neku on his face and it was not the Scarface guy.

Without question, it should be Jahanbaksh who I called for as the next long term TM captain over 3 years ago.

He's like third in line for me: Hajsafi, Karim then Morteza.

I'm really impressed with his maturity and professionalism, though.

Ehsan, Karim and ARJ are perfect captains.

Karim Ansarifard's leadership really showed when he picked up Taremi and encouraged him after the Portugal game.

In all seriousness though, it should be Beiranvand. Anyone who is homeless, works hard at car wash/pizza shop to pull himself up so high deserves to be captain. He already shows leadership qualities by shouting at his defenders and already has his own kid. (As a bonus he has Iran in his name :P) SO BEIRANVAND FOR IRAN!!!

Ehsan has the most number of Caps, he deserves this.

I think this was more Queiroz's doing rather than anything else. Surround the ref in order to put him under pressure and slow the game down. This world cup one of our main objectives was to disrupt the flow of play in my opinion. Ref will not restart the game while someone in his face. Ehsan, however did seem a little too rash

Ehsan is the only one experienced enough at this point.

and his game has matured immensely in the last year or so.
