Random but did anyone ever take notice of Farshad’s team’s stadium? It is a UEFA category 4 stadium which is the highest mark a stadium can have and it seats over 40K.....just a random impressive sidenote about this team.
Team Meli Iran Perspolis FC Malavan Bandar Anzali
"I will never be able to say good bye to Iran. I have a feeling of belonging to this country and to the people." - Carlos Queiroz
Okay first half. gave the ball away a couple of times, but also made some quick smart passes at times. Definitely not as involved in the game as he usually is.
"The favorite of the fans from the capital of Lower Silesia quickly became Iranian Farshad Ahmadzadeh. 25-year-old winger, although he is one of the lower players in the Wroclaw team, has a few other advantages, which he delights more and more often. Ahmadzadeh is by far the best technically competitor at Oporowska."
Right Midfielder of Kielce (#11) is a good friend of mine, curious to see if has any one on ones with Ahmadzadeh. Ahmadzadeh is much more technical than him though.
*Farshad started the match and played the full 90 mins
*He could had bagged 2 assists, one which was scored but ruled out by ref, another which was a great cross into the box from the left, header went off the post.
*He nearly equalized towards the end of the match, a strong shot which went off the crossbar.
Interview with Farshad by Polish media:
"THE ARMY HAS DONE THE TRACTOR. AHMADZADEH TALKS ABOUT THE LEAGUE AND LIFE IN IRAN
Football players from all over the world come to the Polish league, but probably not yet a citizen of a country so exotic, and at the same time so much reminiscent of Poland, only that in the version from thirty years ago, when the communist Poland ended. Iranian Farshad Ahmadzadeh once had to change the club just to go "in the shoes" - like athletes who used to go to Legia Warsaw, Śląska Wrocław or Zawisza Bydgoszcz.
As a youth I was a footballer of Persepolis FC, the largest club in Iran, but I had to make up for the army. In our country, two-year service is obligatory, so I went to Tractora Sazi, which is just being borrowed for so long. Playing in this team is considered by footballers as a service in the army. They pay very little, but they did not happen to be sent for weapons exercises. I played only football. If the Iranian does not regulate the attitude to the army, it is very difficult for him to apply for a passport and travel abroad - says Ahmadzadeh, who dreams of a career in one of the clubs in Western Europe.
Overnight in the park
Associated with the Army Tractor is a team created by a large factory of agricultural equipment and tools (hence its name). The largest clubs in Iran are in the hands of individual ministries. The two most titled and the most popular - Persepolis and Esteghlal (both from the capital of Tehran) are controlled by the Ministry of Youth and Sport. Many other teams are in the hands of various government organizations, large state-owned enterprises and the authorities of individual provinces. Private capital is allowed only in these smaller teams, although - interestingly - the Iranians at the same time reminiscent of our socialism of the eighties, the management model sometimes manages to bring players and coaches even from Europe. The Portuguese were particularly fond of this direction. It is not only the reckless Iranian national team at this year's Carlos Quieiroz World Cup. Tractor Sazi's footballer was Flavio Paixao, who was well known in Poland (it was from there that Silesia was taken away from the long trade fair for the termination of the contract). In turn, Ahmadzadeh's coach in this club for two years was Toni Oliveira, a Portuguese trainer-traveler, who in the past successfully led, among others, Benfica. Flavio, after the earthquake there, did not want to play in Iran.
- The funniest thing that it was not a particularly strong quake at all. About 4, maybe 4.5 on the Richter scale. But they've never experienced anything like this before and they were just afraid. Flavio and Toni slept for a week in the park, "says Ahmadzadeh. - Our country is beautiful and it is worth to get to know it, but the fact that every now and then the earth shakes somewhere, we have entered into life like weather whims - adds winger Silesia.
Wrocław as ... Urmia
Ahmadzadeh quickly and easily acclimatized in Wroclaw. The club is waiting for repeatability on the pitch. For now, the sample of its capabilities of the 26-year-old gives only from time to time. On Monday he finally scored his first goal in the premier league in a 3-2 draw away match against Zagłębie Sosnowiec.
- The Polish and Iranian league can not even be compared. Football is more technical with us. Here are the higher physical demands than in my country and there is a lot of emphasis on tactics. This is definitely more difficult for me than adapting outside the field. I was well received by the club staff and by the team. I do not feel left to myself. Captain Piotr Celeban helps me a lot. I also hold a lot with Augusto. Probably because of this sentiment to the Portuguese from Iran, "he adds with a laugh. - In addition, Wrocław is a nice place to live. It reminds me of my family Urmia near the border with Turkey. More or less the same number of inhabitants, a lot of greenery. It is not eight million and crowded Tehran, where I came as a sixteen year old and I was completely alone. At the same time I went to school there, I played football and I still earned a living. It was really hard, but I managed because I was determined and I loved the ball. Where did I work? Let it remain my private matter. I'm not afraid of anything after such a school of life - comments the Iranian.
