I saw a tweet that Esteghlal hasn’t agreed to anything and is threatening to take Trabzonspor to FIFA if they sign him? Can anyone confirm this? If so here we go again rizespor 2.0....

Sounds like Esteghlal are going against the rules of their own contract

I can’t believe the selfishness of Esteghlal and Persepolis. So unprofessional and embarrassing.

this just makes no sporting sense from SS. After all this, the player himself certainly has no desire to come back, his performance will drop, the fans dont want him back, the teammates must be thinking wtf, no other club will try to buy him now that they know they will have to deal with this BS, and in the end FIFA will probably find SS guilty if anybody lol

Welcome to chapter 101 of 1001 nights story.

One can produce a soap opera out of this transfer.

Esteghlal should be careful. If they get a transfer ban they're gonna have to spend a lot of money to convince people like Thiam to stay when their contracts end during the ban. Mame Thiam in particular has good offers from Persian Gulf leagues.

I understand our clubs are run like shit (to no fault of their own), but when once in while they are actually "right", we shouldn't pound on them.

No club in the world would give up a player for cheaper than they have to, if they like/want that player. Obviously SS wants this player. this is a player who according to Schaffer is the best in Asia. I wouldn't sell him for less than 1 Mil Euros.

having said that, I agree that in the process of dealing with this type of cases, there are a lot of unprofessional behavior by both the clubs and often by the players. but I don't blame SS for wanting to fight for their player.

bear in mind we have no idea what the content of his contract is so we may find out things that we don't know now which would have made us think differently about this.

the idea that SS or any other club should just let players go abroad for the "common good/progress" of our football is just non-sense and should not be a part of this discussion.

FIFA usually rules in favor of the player 9 out of 10 times in cases like this. Trabzonspor knows what they are doing. SS lost this battle the second they confiscated Hosseini's passport.

Is there a way I or fans can report this to FIFA? Asking out of curiosity.

This is why I say, never ever make early threads if there is not the player holding up the jersey at an official press conference.

                            Major jinx.

Don't worry, Hosseini obviously wants to leave. There is no sense for Esteghlal to keep a demotivated player, it only backfires. Just going to take longer than necessary...

It's just lajo lajbazi. Sooner or later they will have no choice than releasing the player.
