I don't think Trabzonspor is going to pay $700K to get Majid, yet this could be a good negotiation tactic. Perhaps, Esteghlal could haggle its way to $350K. I hope it happens.

700K and even 1M is a steal for any European team, especially in today’s transfer market and considering Majid Hossini’s current ability and potential

          Esteghlal is an embarrassment.

            Is that the point though?

Or is the point that Esteghlal for some reason is trying to change their own release clause? Nobody forced them to set a 100K originally.

So let me get this right.

His release clause is 100K plus agreement of the club. Trabzonspor wanrts majid and majid wants to go and trabzon wants to pay the 100k. Majid already went to Istanbul according to the reports and have more talks and now is back on his way or is already in Iran and now Esteghlal wants 700k from trabzon? That is ridicilous. Did trabzon contact the fifa? So as it looks like it all comes down to the money again...This just looks very bad and shady on Esteghlal. Trabzonspor should contact FIFA or have they already done so?

He has 4 caps, unproven in European football and only a few ACL games to his tally. No way Esteghlal can get anything close to 700k.

If I am not mistaken the release clause in the contract had an expiration date plus the $100K. When Majid attempted to join Trabzonspor, the expiration date had passed. That's the reason for Esteghlal opposing the deal. I believe they have a case.

they say that to get between 300-500 out of it.
I think 300-350 should keep both sides happy.

Trabzonspor has some financial issues atm according to some of its fans. I think this is Estheghlal's way of preventing the deal.

if i remember right trabzonspor tried paying the 100k by july 15th if i remember right but esteghlal for some reason did not accept it and waited till this transfer clause would just expire by basically acting like a bitch and beeing stubborn and not doing how it says in the contract and accepting the 100k. If i was trabzonspor i would inform the fifa. trabzon was ready to pay the 100k before it expired. SS were just beein stubborn and dickheads and waited till it was past 15 july and now want more money...this is just sad. These people are sick in the head and make me very angry

Ridiculous price tag by Esteghlal it indicates 1 of 2 things: they are either not taking this seriously at all or they’re just be good sales people and starting the bid high and will work their way down and walk away with 350-400K. I have a feeling it’s the first unfortunately.

I’d be willing to bet Schafer requested a few players that will cost them roughly 700K and this are using this as an opportunity to give him what he has requested.

I wouldn't call a defender who man handled the likes of Diego Costa and Ronaldo unproven, everyone who understands football a little bit can see what a huge talent he is. He has the potential to become the best defender we've ever had.

You're looking too far into the numbers as opposed to the quality of his performances. Clubs don't always care about how MANY games a player has played, rather how they played in those games. That's why Hosseini has received so much interest. It seems like he's joining now, so clearly they offered something.
