Playing knockeart on the left and Alireza on the right would mean a lot more quality delivery for Murray in my opinion. They could occasionally swap wings with each other if they want to be more direct too. Once Izquierdo is fit, I think it’ll be him and Alireza as practically fixed starters as by then there’d be no excuse to keep him benched.

JB had one unsuccessful dribble, but other than that, he was good. Very active defensively. Smart in possession. Chased down balls that were heading out of bounds. Got fouled that resulted in a yellow card. That's some good activity for 15 minutes of play.

But he fizzled out in the second half and I though Knockaert picked up in the second half to be honest.
If AJ can play left side, I think he would be dangerous with Knock on the right (or vice versa).

Most Brighton fans were wanting Knocky to stay on and March to be the one going off for ARJ too, I swear there were even boos at the sub which is fair enough cause Knocky looked dangerous everytime he was on the ball and Solly was quiet.
Overall, another solid cameo for our boy ending with a positive outcome. Stop losing your shit people, this is a successful route to bedding in a player to the league, Hughton has proved it with Izquierdo and March is not the clown you lot want to make out.
On the matchday experience, I liked the setting a lot, nice little stadium, no real atmosphere during the game with Fulham fans managing to shine in that regard but it's a great family club atmosphere in general. Didn't take many photos but thankfully the photographers were loving the flag (hoping I make MOTD too but I was on same side as cameras so unlikely). And didn't get a chance to speak to ARJ but he gave me a thumbs up which made my ovaries melt so the trip was good value. Will definitely be back but Reading is next on the list.

I just watched his 15 minutes, a solid performance with some nice touches, he’s on his way to timing his movement better. It!s early days but he is beginning to understand the difference with the Dutch league. The intensity of EPL is unique.
Let us not forget BHA was losing before he came in, so overall a good performance that is going to improve with more games. I’m behind Houghton on JB’s treatment.sigpic

Your expectations have to be near 0 for a 15 min sub. That is simply not long enough to grow into the game. Once in a while someone will perform a miracle and there are 2-3 players in the EPL who have a better average of making a difference in the last 15 min (e.g. Giroud). Other than that, it is basically a hail Mary.
Despite all of this I think JB did well. He was marginally offside for one call and mistimed a dribble or two, but he hustled a lot, was involved in one of the dangerous plays and contributed defensively. He also would have had a nice one-two if his clueless team mate did not turn and pass sideways.
All these know it all kids come on here acting as though they know everything when they don’t even watch the games. Basing opinions on a single 5 second scenario when they haven’t watched a full match. Or haven’t followed Jahanbakhsh in Team Melli or AZ..
God bless you for this post.

What are the Top 5 European leagues?
Are they La Liga, Bundesliga, EPL, Serie A, and Ligue 1?
And how many Iranians are currently in the Top 5 European leagues again? 🤔
Ooooh yeaahhh 2. Saman Ghoddos and Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
After the World Cup —> “Mark my words we won’t have any players in any top European leagues.”
“I watch every match I know everything. No way we will have Iranians in the Top 5 European leagues.”

For those who went, it was a typical Brighton performance up to the point of the missed penalty when the whole team lost a bit of heart and momentum. Then the missing Bruno at right back showed a bit of a lack of composure at the back, and overlapping runs on the right hand side. Dunk seemed to be carrying an injury. The momentum returned a bit in the second half as we went for two equalising goals.
Atmosphere was a bit below par, not helped by the way the game went and the sunshine, and transport difficulties for thousands. Four goals should have been exciting, but they all came as a result of mistakes. From my angle of viewing into the low sun, it took me time to realise about the first penalty as I did realise the foul was in the box.
No player took the game by the horns, although Knockaert gave it a good try. And Solly March got in a position for three shots blocked and the best chance over the bar with his weaker foot. It should have been a win for Brighton, but Fulham could reckon that they threw away two points. Fulham were under pressure, but we did not seem so aggressive in attack as we usually are when going behind; the actual goal attempts from Brighton were numerous but all a bit tame, starting with the first penalty.
The problem CH with the substitutions from 59 minutes was not so much who was playing badly, but who was most likely to get back two goals. In the end it was Fulham who managed to cock it up.
If I was CH I would have kept Murray on as he is always most likely to score, but to increase the pace upfront which meant taking the slower Knockaert off rather than Solly March. No reflection on Knockaert as his nous made our first goal. Key pass and assist. Solly March did very well finding the space for his big missed chance.
I sat a typical Brighton performance but Dunk being shoved off the ball as atypical. And without Bruno we had no overlaps on the right. Full backs and Pascal Groß make all the overlapping crosses. Knockaert makes crosses from the right on his left foot and I'm sure that Alireza Jahanbakhsh could do better with his right foot! On the left side the only really danger comes from the exceptional acceleration and occasional shooting prowess of José Izquierdo.
Note that the bulk of the starting XI was the team that got promoted from the Championship.
