    Ali Daei, the legend!

I guess it is needless to talk about his glorious football career. Now he is writing another chapter of his sportsmanship (Pahlevani) off the field with numerous humanitarian deeds (not only gestures).

If Iranian football players are looking for a role model, here he is, an exemplary hero. The one who played with thorn spleen and risked his life for Team Melli.

We shall never forget his acts following Kermanshah earthquake and numerous other charitable activities.

He single-handedly led a campaign to raise funds and has(almost) rebuilt an entire wrecked village after the earthquake.

He is a blood donor, supports orphans, cancer and disabled children and only God knows what else he does for his hamvatans.

This guy doesn't need the fame, he does it for his great heart and love of his people.

Two points of critique i have on him are: he should've quit TM in 2004 after the Asian Cup. He should've never accepted to become the headcoach of TM (easily the worst coach we've ever had in TM, yes even worse than Maheli Kohan and Qalenoei), Otherwise he would've been our greatest ever. But there is no doubt he is a good man with great love for his country. Everybody makes mistakes
