I agree, however, in the bigger picture it is a step up from Al-Saad. In fact it’s multiple steps up IMO since they are one of the bigger teams in Turkey.

If it comes out that he had offers from teams in better leagues and he rejected it due to low salary offers, I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I find it hard to believe that someone who was praised as much as he was couldn’t get a single offer from a team in a top 4 league as a free agent

I don't know much about the rumours and offers, but really I see Trabzonspor as a big step forward compared to Qatar.
