He's a free agent. They can sign him after the transfer deadline if need be. Hopefully they sign him sooner than that, though.

Looks like some Brighton fans are getting excited about the possibility although it does seem like they're at about capacity with foreign players and pretty comfortable with their CB pair. ON the other hand, using the opportunity to sign a top CB on free would allow them to recuperate some of the cash they've splashed this summer.

I don't rate Hashemi-Moghadam that highly as agent, i mean in case of JB he for sure was going to get lots of calls, but in case of PAG he couldn't yet find any average team in top 3-4 leagues for such a solid defender as FA, all those Brighton talks are speculation, at least for now!

I think they are weighing their options and are looking for the best deal/fit. I am actually impressed with PAG keeping things under the wraps. I think he is being patient.
