Foreign Players playing in Persian League

I believe the following two players will shine:

    Tractor Sazi F.C.
    England: Harry Forrester
    27 years old: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_...r_(footballer)

    Zob Ahan Esfahan F.C.
    Honduras - Eddie Hernández
    27 years old: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Hern%C3%A1ndez

Watch out for these two players.

Look out for the new signings that Sepahan and Esteghlal recently made

Harry Forrester is a jobbing player who may or may not do anything. Nothing special but a decent player.

On the other hand, Anthony Stokes is a big signing for Tiraxtur. He would still be a regular for Ireland if not for his court issues, pranks and personal problems. Perhaps, just perhaps, he can find some pace in Tabriz.

If he comes good again, then he could be the biggest foreign player in the Iranian league ever.

Still wonder what was your logic for choosing Forrester as your "pick" rather than someone like Stokes who is a well-known highly talented footballer.

Anyway, here is Stokes' goal on his debut, a nice goal!

If some of them knew what he's been up to in his life (and the reason why the career of this very talented player has been on rather a downward trajectory) then they wouldn't be quite so intimate with him. (Eilidh Scott, headbutting, fire extinguisher, driving without licence, gambling)

Hopefully the Bad Boy has come to Iran to avoid the lure of gambling (he asked his salary to be paid to his father so that he couldn't waste the whole amount for gambling), girls, fighting etc...

Hopefully he doesn't do this, either: https://www.balls.ie/football/anthony-stokes-386950

I may be able to answer any questions about the recent Tractor signings.

Anthony Stokes played with my club Celtic for years, I rate him. He gives it 100% in every game he plays in, Good at FreeKicks. Not a prolific scorer but work rate will help to create goals. Anthony Stokes main problem is he can be a hot-head (does stupid things) i think potentially the culture in Iran could help him, but back in Glasgow he got a lot of trouble with the police.

Harry Forrester played for Rangers (our rivals) the above description "Harry Forrester is a jobbing player who may or may not do anything. Nothing special but a decent player." is 100% correct, 99% of the time i never noticed him in games. he had his contract cancelled by rangers and struggled to get in to their squad - which at the moment is the worst it has been for years.

Lee Erwin (still in talks) is a decent player, hes not brilliant, but decent none the less. My personal favourite Lee Erwin moment was when he punched a rangers player, Moshni, after killing Rangers chance of promotion.

                Unlucky against Hearts today ScotCeltic21.

I know you guys were linked with Sardar Azmoun, I would love to see him at Celtic. He is the only iranian player who i consider to be potentially world class based on his natural traits (inhuman aerial ability, very fast, good with both feet, good vision) but he is a bit of a spoilt brat. He's a striker.

Other players worth a look at are 21 year old Saeid Ezatollahi who is a unit and the pivot of Iran's midfield, and pacy full-back Milad Mohammadi (my favourite TM player because he is so good at headers despite his size, gives his all every game and is faster than roadrunner hence his nickname migmig).

Thanks DR Strangemoosh, It was a disapointing performance, but they are a decent team and we fielded a weaker side so they deserved the result in the end. Also Azmoun looks a great player. we might have regret not pursuing him.

The above is the best description i can give of Anthony Stokes, Celtic manager Lennon was under quite a lot of pressure at the time and I still think Stokes single handedly saved his job that day.
Skip to 2:11 to see some good goals by him. (also means you can skip our terrible defending)
