This is what CQ sent to Farhad Eshvandi (editor at the sports desk for Khabar Online)

      Hi Fahrad

Thank you for your questions and concerns

This is my answer and my statement to clear all and everything

Please make good and complete translation

      Regards

      CQ

In order to avoid misunderstandings, speculations, and rumours which mislead the public opinion I would like
      to state to the following:

۱-On June ۲۰۱۷, Iranian National Team qualified for the World Cup in Russia.

۲-Nine months after, in April ۲۰۱۸, IRIFF President Mr. Taj publicly announced an offer to extend my contract, under the same terms and conditions, until the end of Asian Cup ۲۰۱۹.

۳- Since this proposal has been presented , me and IRIFF President Mr. Taj, have had several technical meetings and discussions about the needs for Team Melli to successfully compete to the level of the expectations and dreams of all Iranian fans.

۴- On these meetings it has been pointed, recognised, and agreed by both parties what would factually need to be improved in order for Team Melli to be able to succeed in such a demanding competition.

۵-It is due to my profound respect and gratitude to the Iranian fans and Team Melli players and staff that I have put on hold any decision regarding my professional future while IRIFF was attempting to fulfil the technical priorities and needs agreed over the last months.

۶- On the ۳۱st of July ۲۰۱۸, my contract expired.

۷- Today, on the ۲nd of August, not one single technical requirement identified has been fully implemented by IRIFF.

۸- Unfortunately, I am forced to conclude that IRIFF will take the risk, once again, of facing and approaching highly demanding international competitions as the Asian Cup without proper and fair technical preparation.

۹-Taking in consideration the above mentioned points and once we are running out of time, it starts becoming difficult for me to believe in a common future.

      Thanks you CQ

While we have seen these comments from CQ in the past, I think this time it is more serious than the past. CQ says that Taj and IFF make promises and they don't honor them and of course he has plenty of evidence for that. I think CQ is just tired of this ordeal and if a good offer form another federation or club comes he might take it. He loves Iran and he wants to stay but he is frustrated with lack of integrity on the IFF side. By integrity I don't mean honesty, I mean that Taj and the federation (with all due respect since relatively specking Taj has been probably the best head of federation we have had in recent decades) simply do not honor their word i.e. when they make a promise and they don't keep it, they do not communicate with a recommitment and a structure of fulfillment so that they could keep their future promises. Adding the current unstable near-panic economic situation it Iran and the looming U.S. sanctions later this month and this year to the equation, I am very concerned this time around that we could loose CQ. If that happens, it will be a major blow to the future of TM and our football for years to come.

I think some of the stuff he has asked for is out of Taj’s hands as no one wants CQ around more than Taj.

Queiroz posted this on Facebook yesterday:

"Feeling blessed. 7 and a half years have passed. What a wonderful journey. The second longest contract of my career, after the Portuguese National Team for 10 years, reminds me that these experiences are about more than football, they are all about life.
No words can express my gratitude, pride, and honour of having been part of these two wonderful and unforgetable football families: the Portuguese and Iranian National Teams.Thank you to all!
            To the future,
            CQ

              Algeria have appointed Djamel Belmadi:

"Algeria appoint Djamel Belmadi as new coach

Algeria’s football federation have appointed former international Djamel Belmadi as their new manager, after he agreed a four year deal.

Belmadi, who becomes the North African nation’s sixth manager in two years, succeeds Rabah Madjer who was sacked in June.

The 42 year-old represented Algeria between 2000 and 2004, scoring 5 goals in 20 appearances, and captained his country at the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia.

Most recently, Belmadi led Al-Duhail to its second consecutive Qatar Stars League title before relinquishing his duties on 12 June.

Algeria’s federation confirmed that the former Manchester City and Southampton midfielder has agreed to a long-term contract that will tie him down with Les Fennecs until the 2022 World Cup.

Local media reported that both Vahid Halilhodzic and Carlos Queiroz negotiated with the Algerian federation though neither party could agree financial terms.

Former goalkeeping coach Aziz Bouras has also returned to the national team set-up after resigning last February.

Algeria finished bottom in Group B during 2018 World Cup qualifying in a group that featured Nigeria, Cameroon and Zambia.

Belmadi’s immediate task will be to qualify Algeria for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

His first competitive game in charge will a 2019 Nations Cup qualifier away to Gambia in September."

CQ -IFF-TM-Iranian Football fans form a symbiotic if chaotic chain ( relationship). IF anyone of these links are broken in this chain, then the whole of Iranian football will collapse for a long time.... I dont think the Gov't under Khatami wants this to happen especially since TM under CQ is the only 'entertainment' and surest Joy that it brings to millions under the crushing weight of pending economic collapse. Much like the Romans that gave the common people the gladiators and the 'games' Jomburi Eslami needs to give people something to the masses to cheer about while they plunder the wealth as their demise gets closer.....

Taj said today (see below) that of course CQ is master of his own universe (ekhtyar-eh khodesh ro daareh) and negotiations with CQ are going through their own course. He also said that his people spoke to CQ again last night and conveyed Taj's messages to CQ and received and conveyed CQ's messages to Taj (whatever that means ) When asked whether CQ's replacement will be Iranian he said that he has not even thought about CQ not being in charge.

Why is no one asking Taj about CQ’s 2 most important demands
1-need to have 7 friendly matches by the start of the AC.
2-solution to the Sarbazi situation for 8 of the TM players.
Did Taj or IFF do anything about these 2 things ???

I think they sort out the sarbazi problem. However friendly matches would be a really hard task!

Sarbazi problem won't be solved the way Taj has requested. Taj got vazire varzesh to send a letter to the gov org responsible for sarbazi, but nothing will come from it.

You can't exempt an athlete from military service just because they went to the World Cup. It would mean many other athletes (thousands) would also be given exemption.
