Morteza Pouraliganji @ Eupen | 2018 - 2019
Iran_19 got a point. The reality is that in an ultra-defensive formation like TM, players like PAG can look really solid because they sit deep for most part of the games. In contrast to his new team who goes forward and leaves a lot of space in the defense, it comes down to 1 vs 1 individual defensive skills.
CQ can make IPL defenders like Cheshmi, Hosseini, Montazeri, Sadeghi etc look world class.

I am actually more realist than most of you guys, PAG just realizing he is not playing in Qatar or IPL anymore. I am not saying he is a bad CB, no, he isn't. He is actually one of the best produced in our football in last 10-15 years or maybe more. I know he has fitness issues and missed the training camp, language issues, etc but from what i saw in last two matches, he looked very nervous. We are talking about a bottom table Belgian team not a team in top league though!
I still beleive some people here overvalue our players.Team Meli Iran
Perspolis FC
Malavan Bandar Anzali

He might not be a good fit for Eupen, but that doesn't mean he is not good enough to play in Europe. Eupen is a horrible team, and there is not much one (quality) defender can do about that. He should have played for Anderlecht or Club Brugge or Standard Luik instead, but he didn't have any offers, Eupen was the best one sadly.

To give you a good analogy so you can understand my point: I remember a certain Lionel messi who had a bad World Cup performance (by his standards) for Argentina, following your logic, your argument would be that he is not as good as people think because in Barcelona he plays in a good system which make it seem as if he is one of the best players in the world (as if the system somehow magically gives him abilities), but i point out that your argument is incorrect and has flaws, and make my counter argument which is that the reason he flourishes and is able to show his quality (as rightfuly one of the best players in the world), is precisely because of the system that he plays in Barcelona, whereas at Argentina he plays in a bad system, or a system where he is not able to function properly and display his abilities. And you can apply the same to Pouraliganji, if he plays in a team with a bad system where it is difficult to function, he will not be able to showcast or display his qualities as a qood defender. Hope you understand the flaws in your argument better now
