Just curious to see what the general consensus is here. And to be more specific I’m not talking about any specific factors like talent or anything like that. I’m talking about straight up what the perspective is of the Iranian league as it compares to others in terms of level of play. Plain and simple!

Where do you rank PGL in Asia?

Korea, China, Aussie, Japan, and Saudi league are ahead. Qatar and UAE are even with PGL if not slightly better due to better infrastructure (tie breaker). Other leagues like Uzbekistan etc. are behind just talent wise.
Overall I'd say 5 or 6th best league on a good day.

Qatari league is definitely not better than ours LOL. You guys are being too emotional just because a weak SS team that lost 4-5 of its key players was playing the best qatari team, that has made great signings this summer and only lost PAG. In qatar 10-1 is becoming a common scoreline, its just a joke apart from Duhail and Al sadd.
Our league is definitely better than aussie league, and better than qatar and I would say Saudi too.
I would say Chinese, Japanese, Korean Leagues are top three, then our league is 4th.

Some may argue that quality wise we are among the top three leagues, but a league is not only consisted of players and coaches. If we take every aspect into account, sadly, we have no place in top5.
A nice example is the fact that IFF is more concerned about players tattoos rather than life-threatening events/hooligansim in the stadiums, infrastructure and many other professional aspects.

It depends of how you measure. We produce more quality players than Qatar they just buy expensive players from the rest of the world.
Our league is more productive. Forget about the loose today. It means nothing. They have Xavi we don't. That is the difference. I say forth.
South Korea, Japan, Australia are ahead of us.

Although the stadium situation has been slowly improving, clubs are still run very unprofessionally and lack basic things.
I would say that in terms of talent and competition, PGL is maybe 3-5 Th place
However, in all other aspects, no better or perhaps worse than Uzbek league and definitely less professional than Qatari teams

In qatari league games where teams lose by 10 goals are becoming almost commonplace. PGPL is much more competitive than that.
