He's currently in Iran. He posted a video of himself running on the beach in Iran 3 days ago and one of his ex team mates from Reading (who's on loan at Hibs) commented asking where he was and was pretty suprised when he found out he's in Iran, so God knows what's going on with him right now. He did an interview with one of the shows in Iran though so he might have mentioned something in there [emoji2369]

According to this article he may miss the rest of the season with his ‘long standing injury’, no specifics on what.

This is a really strange situation. Don't want to spread rumours, but might it be linked to the doping allegations from world cup?

I’m guessing in the current climate for example with Russia and the allegations against them is that would have been made public.
I’m gonna take it as innocently as it’s an injury that just isn’t going away , I remember Henderson had the same problem a few years back at Liverpool and was out much longer than expected and eventually found it was a problem with his heel. Also Liverpool have Brewster out at the moment and he has been due back from injury a few separate times but is again delayed.
We also don’t know if his parent club have said anything and don’t want to risk further injury.

Not much but sounds like he is working hard to get fit per the coach

Whatcha talkin' bout Willis? Russian league is a strong league, definitely a stronger league than the English Championship (2nd division). Players get injured, even if they are in the best shape of their lives, that's football lad. Also, how many Iranian players have left the "shitty" Russian league for a so called good league, except Ezatolahi? Calling the Russian league shitty, while it's the sixth best league in Europe, and definitely better than the Championship makes your statement quite ridicilous mate.

You clearly did not follow him much in Russia. He was injured half the time he was there look at the amount of appearances he has with each team....totals to about 35 appearances in 3 seasons.

So Reading are selling a worn and signed Ezatollahi shirt on auction to raise money for charity, not sure when he's worn the shirt as I can't even remember when he last played [emoji23][emoji23] jokes aside I hope we hear some reliable news about him soon

Wasnt he out day to day before the asian cup? 2months later still no timetable for his return. Something is fishy here.

Quadriceps pull or tear depending on where the injury is and its severity can take up to 6-7 months to recover from. If his injury is to the body of the muscle, where there is ample blood supply, in the absence of compartment syndrome (bleeding into the muscle), full recovery can take up to 3 months. With CS, surgery is needed immediately, this is most probably not the case for SE. The longer term injuries are when you have a tear in the quad tendon. Because of low blood supply these injuries can take up to 6-7 months for full recovery from. If SE is back to training (individual) then his injury may have been a severe muscle tear, if he is still recovering, going through rehab or light training then he may have had a tendon injury and most probably will not be back for another 4-5 months.

Let's hope it a muscle tear, and that he will be back soon!!

Sporting Lisbon seem interested in Saeid.
