Can I please have a 50 word dossier on Sohrabian from PGL followers? Would be nice to be introduced to him before CQ develops him into the next Maldini.

hes pretty average/solid for PGPL level. He has good pace, can buy LB and CB. But his touch/control, passing leaves a bit to be desired. Nothing more than a potential backup for milad bth.

I have such high confidence in that back line now with Majid-Pouraliganji wow so solid, especially with the way Majid has been playing with Trab. can't wait to see more of him !

Afshin Peiravany on Instagram posting pictures of random PP players saying their only jorm is being PP players, like get real. Best part is he's posting pics of guys like Shoja and Ahmad Nourolahi - like on what planet do they deserve a sure call up to TM?

We know have a good potential reason on why he isn't with TM any more.. clearly his loyalties lay with his favourite club as well
I was dismayed by Afshin Payrovani’s nonsensical statement. What a sore loser. Get real, who else from Perspolis can replace anyone from the invited list? Shoja? Most of us Perspolisis don’t even want him in our team. He is a huge liability and a total psycho on the pitch. I love Seyed Jalal, but c’mon he is 37 and we have great young players for that position. Hell if I were Jalal, I would have retired from TM.

Why not? It's not like CQ has any other game plan but the same 8 year game plan. Why risk his strategy when these guys can play it to a tee?

Retired Sardar Azmoun invited to Iran national football team

                          http://www.tehrantimes.com/news/4270...-football-team

TEHRAN – Sardar Azmoun, who announced his retirement after the 2018 World Cup, has been invited to Iran national football team.

The Rubin Kazan striker, who completed 90 minutes in each of Iran's three World Cup games, quit international football after the prestigious tournament, citing the abuse he has received and the effect it has had on his family.

Carlos Queiroz has called up 29 players to Team Melli in the international break, however there is no place in the team for Persepolis captain Jalal Hosseini.

                          Squad:
                          Goalkeepers:
Alireza Beiranvand, Rashid Mazaheri, Amir Abedzadeh, Hossein Hosseini

                          Defenders:
Ramin Rezaeian, Mohammadreza Khanzadeh, Rouzbeh Cheshmi, Majid Hosseini, Morteza Pouraliganji, Pejman Montazeri, Milad Mohammadi, Sadegh Moharrami, Vouria Ghafouri, Armin Sohrabian

                          Midfielders:
Saeid Ezatolahi, Omid Ebrahimi, Ashkan Dejagah, Saman Ghoddos, Mehdi Torabi, Masoud Shojaei, Vahid Amiri, Ali Karimi, Ehsan Haji Safi

                          Strikers:
Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Ali Gholizadeh, Mehdi Taremi, Sardar Azmoun, Karim Ansarifard, Kaveh Rezaei
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

Approximately 80 days ago, the general majority were happy to have Masoud announced as captain of TM and were praying Ashkan could get fit enough to play for us. Aside from 68 minutes in which Masoud was poor [yet still a member of our successful side] against Morocco, I'm not sure a great deal has happened for us to all of a sudden go strongly anti Masoud/Ashkan. I assume the next Messi hasn't been unearthed in PGL in the last 80 days and Shekari needs a bit more time.

dejagah i understand in the squad, more so than masoud. Masoud has just been objectively bad every time hes played for TM in the recent months and even years. Dejagah is always very good when he plays for TM, but obviously has fitness issues. Shekari showed vs Zenit he is ready for high level football. Plus we have ghoddos who should CLEARLY be out starting CAM now. Just no need for masoud.
