Anyways, I just hope PP plays a good game at Azadi so they can get a win that isn't so ugly. I just want to see something resembling of an attacking game plan is not just Beiro kicking it to the two forwards, hoping to a get lucky bounce.
Afif should have been yellow carded. Al Saad goali should have been red carded. 6 minutes injury time was too much and the ref gave them almost 8 minutes. It was a very physical game and there were rough fouls on both sides.

Did any of you notice idiot AFC didn't put up the highlights of the Pesepolis - Al Sadd game yet they immediately did for Kashima - Samsung?

        So petty.

I still don't believe in Perspolis advancing to the final until it actually happens.
This is the AFC and I am sure they are plotting any possible way to screw us over.

I believe Perspolis can beat both Kashima and Suwon since Duhail and Saad are stronger than both.

suwon has mostly korean players and an overall market value of 15 mill. €. they became 4th in sk with much distance to the 1st/2nd/3rd place.

kashima is valued 20 million € with 3 brazilian and 2 korean players. they are third in the japanese league with some distance to the 1st and 2nd place.

Do players’s yellows cards go away once Perspolis makes the finals or will they carry thru ?????

Those East Asian teams do well in this tournament. Because of the way they schedule their leagues, they are very strong and coordinated in the last stages of this tournament.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We still have to get a good result in the next game.

Interesting to see what tactic PP goes with in Azadi, as they have options. Some important players will return (thankfully ansari can come into backline, no need for nemati at RB again, too exposed vs afif), Kamal will be back for stability in the middle, likely form a strong Mid dept with Nourollahi, resan and alishah as the attacking mids.

Imo,first half PP needs to go for the jugular. Azadi crowd behind them. One goal would kill off Al sadd, then they can conserve for the rest of the game. direct balls to Alipour and Menshah, and quick link up play with them and alishah/resan, like we saw vs duhail and yesterday, and they will get chances.

But they still cannot throw too many bodies forward, we know that afif, baghdad, al haydos can be killers on the break with xavi, gabi, and korean guy being able to feed them good balls. Imo, pressure on their technically and physically weak defenders, is the best way, because it will be much harder to press their technically capable midfield.

A lot of these Qatari teams are very mentally weak, we saw the total mental collapse of Al Dubail as soon as some pressure was put on them. The same needs to be done against Al Sadd, PP needs to put their foot on the gas from the get-go and get the swing of momentum in their favor and the crowd singing

One goal shouldn't affect Al Sadd that much, either way they know they'll have to score 2.
