Alipour has been on a cold streak... frozen actually!

your wrong, east asian teams are 10 times harder, because they are good both home and away

A western team hasn’t won in the 5 years since a west and eastern team met in the final.

Persep are NO underdogs!! They played Al Duhail that did not lose a single qualification game!! and they beat an Al Sadd who beat Eses and were brimming with talent !!

KA are not easy because they too are a come back team but this time around Perspep can and should take the trophy home! Azadi is a nightmare for most teams, but recently Arab teams have gotten used to the atmosphere and their fear level has dropped! But for Asian teams who hear all negative talk about how dangerous Iran is in the news, will come to Azadi with lots of anxiety! This will be our key to winning as no team can come to Azadi, see , hear and feel 100,000 Iranian men shout and scream and ( throw a grenade) and not shit in their pants! Advantage Persep!

Kashima’s defense is sourakh big time.

Perspolis’s defense is much better than the Korean team.

Cannot take them lightly at all.

ACL is tailored to East Asian teams' schedule and there is a reason East Asian teams have won the final in the past 5 tournaments.
I think the schedule favors West Asian teams. Obviously Persepolis has fresher legs than Kashma. Persepolis has played 14 games (leaguex8, Hazfi & Super Cupx2, ACLx4) so far this season while Kashima has played at least 42 games (leaguex30 & ACLx12). Sadly, the quality gap between the West and East doesn't seem small. West Asian teams played 12 ACL final games aganst East Asian teams in the last 10 years (2008-2017) and the head to head record is pretty bad. 0 wins, 5 draws and 7 losses.

Accordng to Transfermarkt, their main players Leandro (former Brazil internatonal) and Uchida (played 153 games for Schalke) are injured.

Message to AFC from Al Sadd coach Ferreira : ““We wasted many chances at home and also at the Azadi and we weren’t able to score more than one goal. But I must admit, it’s great to play in Iran. As coaches and players, we love it because this is the proper atmosphere of football.”

if perspois wis the ACL, it will be by far the biggest continental result for any iranian team (including TM) since the 1970s.

and yes that includes SS winning the so called asian cub championships (lol)

                                Good comments are posted.

It will come down which team wants the trophy more than other one. Persepolis needs the money to pay off players, coaches, etc.

Persepolis a government operated team and it does not get TV rights/fees. Iranians cannot afford to pay a lot for tickets, although I read that some tickets were sold in upward of $100 not $3. Black-market does not earn Persepolis any money.

We should be happy Persepolis has come this far. Great job with no star(s). It is good that the first leg is in Japan.
