A good result considering we were the underdogs

This wasn't a official FIFA friendly right? Wasn't on a international friendly day, so no worries for the ranking (if true).

Wow, so many knee-jerk reactions, we may as well pack it in and go home before we kick a ball, ha? Win loss or draw give our boys hearts. bigger teams than us have lost or drawn their friendlies to lowly teams and gone on to lift trophies.

This was a vital vital game for CQ to learn about the Team weaknesses and work on them. what would we have learned if we had trashed them 6 or 8, so much as I would have loved it - I guess we would be jumping up and down and expected an easy ride throughout the tournament. Well now, Encore!

It will be all right on the night or the day for that matter.

I really don't care about friendly results.
As far as I am concerned we can lose to Qatar.
But if we do not make it to the semis, at a minimum,
this time around then it's a huge failure for this team,
              the players and the managers.
              Let's roll.

Iran doesn't play well against territories. I remember TM losing to the Galicia team from the Spanish province.

As long as we can win against real countries we'll be good

Interesting to see how people are taking a friendly result that serious, but are easy when any other is criticizing the team and it's coach just for it's existing.

Our Match against Qatar result next week will be very important even for a friendly.

it does. MF of cheshmi and nourollahi is laughable and never played together. Dejagah wont start either. Two first choice CBs not there either. Not even including Gholizadeh and ARJ who would likely start. Both will actually make it to AC as well.

Then my guess will be we will see the A-team in the friendly against qatar.

Well tbh, over 60-70% of players today were regular national team players.

I don't believe in this A team, B team stuff, but out of those players only Taremi, Beiro, Ramin and Azmoun are regular starters.

It takes matches like this to make sure that all TM players can play together, regardless of their regular starting status (ie A team vs. B team). Thus, all the concern and hand-wringing is best done during FRIENDLY matches, and not during TOURNAMENT matches. Get all of it out of your system, and get ready to support the Princes of Persia as they take on Asia. All for Team Melli!
