if you're talking about ghoddos, you can't really blame him here. he doesn't get playing time, but when he does, he shines. the 5 minutes he played vs morocco he was a bully out there and he drew the foul which led to our goal. he was also creating opportunities vs portugal as he almost scored from the top of the 18 and his kick is what set up taremi to miss his shot

I am blaming him for anything, i am just saying he will most likely get lots of playing time in this competition and is up to him to shine and take his game to the next level in international football.

According to rules of the tournament up until 6 hours before the first match, a team could replace any number of its players as long as the replacing players went through preliminary registrations. Gholi went through that and he is still there training with TM and going through treatment. There is still a chance for him to join the roster.

Two things need to be clear going forward:

1) Iran - Qatar is being played behind closed doors.
2) You can change a roster spot, 6 hours before your first AFC Asian Cup game. The player can be replaced, whether he has an injury or not.

That is disappointing, because it hurts the preparation.
