FRIENDLY: Iran vs. Qatar (Dec. 31, 2018) - live reports and discussion
Well, passing is a tool for different moments in a game. F.e. for creating scooring chances, release the pressure
that a pressing line put on the defensive line, to create space, control the game (special when a team is leading and want
to avoid any attacks from the opponent) etc.
That being said, if one team passes the ball a lot without an aim/purpose (just for possession statistics) than its indeed useless and overrated.
But general speaking, passing game is the foundation for proper football.
Time for him also to take his game to the next level in TM, so far he was just average with TM.
if you're talking about ghoddos, you can't really blame him here. he doesn't get playing time, but when he does, he shines. the 5 minutes he played vs morocco he was a bully out there and he drew the foul which led to our goal. he was also creating opportunities vs portugal as he almost scored from the top of the 18 and his kick is what set up taremi to miss his shot
